Drain cleaner

A drain cleaner assembly including a base unit having a housing, a first portion of a drive arrangement supported by the housing, and a motor coupled to the drive arrangement, where the motor is operable to selectively drive the drive arrangement. A drum unit is removably coupled to the base unit. The drum unit includes a rotatable drum, a cable stored within the drum and selectively extendable out of the drum and into a drain, and a second portion of the drive arrangement, where the second portion of the drive arrangement includes a driven shaft extending along an axis of rotation of the rotatable drum, where the driven shaft is rotatably fixed to the rotatable drum, and wherein the first portion of the drive arrangement is configured to drive the driven shaft and the rotatable drum when the drum unit is coupled to the base unit.

Method and device for cleaning sewer pipeline

The group of inventions can be used for removal of deposits in sewers and the simultaneous removal thereof in various pipelines, providing mechanization of the cleaning process in a sewage pipeline and eliminating the need for disassembling the drain system and manually cleaning it. A movable element and a cleaning tool mounted thereon, both arranged within the sewage pipeline, are moved along the sewage pipeline by means of a drive mounted outside the sewage pipeline and connected to the movable element. In the initial position, the cleaning tool is located at the end of the sewage pipeline, outside the sewage pipeline portion connecting the drain pipe with a riser. When the cleaning tool reaches the end position at the junction of the sewage pipeline and the riser, the drive and the movable element move the cleaning tool to its initial position.

A high pressure jetting system includes a recirculating unit connected to an isolated section of a water supply system which remains under system pressure. The recirculating unit includes a filter unit and a pump unit generating a circulating flow of water. A first pig launch and recovery apparatus couples a first hydrant to the recirculating unit and a second pig launch and recovery apparatus couples a second hydrant to the recirculating unit. A camera unit including a camera and drogue chute enters through the first apparatus and travels in a flushing flow direction to the second apparatus. The drogue chute is then removed from the camera. The camera then couples to a jetting unit having a jetting head and hose and re-enters through the second apparatus. The jetting unit emits a plurality of water jets to move in a counter-current flow direction and remove material from the water mains.

Spring assemblies with variable flexibility for use with push-cables and pipe inspection systems

Push-cables and associated apparatus for pipe inspection systems are disclosed. In one embodiment a pipe inspection system includes a camera head, a push-cable including an outer covering enclosing a plurality of electrical conductors for transmitting signals and/or power between the camera head and an electronic device operatively coupled to the push-cable, and a spring assembly disposed about the push-cable near the distal end where the spring assembly comprises a spring with a tapered flex section having a varying cross-sectional area and/or a varying cross-sectional shape.
