SHIPPING CONTAINER NONCOMBUSTIBLE BUILDING FIRE DESIGN
A building member for constructing a multi-level building, where the building member includes a shipping container including a plurality of walls having a top wall, a bottom wall, a front wall, a rear wall and opposing side walls connected together, and a building panel made of a cementitious material attached to at least one of an inner side or an outer side of at least one of the plurality of walls of the shipping container.
Retaining Structure
A wall unit (V) for a retaining structure (100) comprises a foot portion (1a) and a wall portion (1b), wherein the wall portion (1b) is inclined with respect to the foot portion (1a), so that it extends over the foot portion (1a). Accordingly, the wall unit (1) is stable during construction and assembly. A corner unit (7) for a retaining structure (100) is adapted to engage with two wall units (1). A retaining structure (100) comprises at least one wall unit (1).
Storm Avoiding Buildings and Structures
A building sheltering structure is configured to facilitate the shielding of at least one domicile or building into an underground foundation before an emergency environmental condition arises. The foundation includes a cover plate that translates horizontally to occlude the at least one domicile upon retraction into a secure cavity of the foundation by a lift assembly positioned at the bottom of the foundation cavity. Mounted atop the lift assembly, the at least one domicile can be fully retracted into the foundation cavity and completely shielded by the cover plate. The operation of the lift assembly is commanded and powered by a supply system. A processor of the supply system facilitates emergency warnings and panic transmissions to signal for help. Further, the supply system accommodates a plurality of solar panels mounted atop the at least one domicile to keep the system charged for the use in emergency.
BELOW-GRADE MODULAR ASSEMBLY
A modular assembly is provided and includes a modular frame to be installed at least partially below grade and at least two panels attached to the modular frame, where the at least two panels are made of a material that withstands lateral, vertical and shear forces generated by surrounding below grade materials. The modular frame and the at least two panels are joined together as a unit prior to installation.
MODULAR WELL CELLAR
A modular well cellar system can include a planar base member defining an aperture sized to receive a conductor pipe; a first end member secured to the base member and configured to support a first lateral wall of the well cellar excavation; a first side member secured to the base member, the first end member, and the second end member, and configured to support a first longitudinal wall of the well cellar excavation; a second side member secured to the planar base member and the first end member and configured to support a second longitudinal wall of the well cellar excavation; and a seal formed between a top surface of the planar base member and each of the first end member, the first side member, and the second side member.
Underground shelter with air-intake system
A sheltering system comprised of a housing unit made of at least one panel connected to a base with one or more entrances into the housing unit and a structural framework with at least one beam that extends the length or width of a panel or base on the housing unit. The beam has at least one notch near the joining of two panels or a panel and the base. The housing unit may be connected to an air intake system that allows for air to move into the interior of the housing unit and then egress out.
UNDERGROUND ROOM ARRANGEMENT
An underground room arrangement, comprising a structure surrounding a room, the structure comprising a plastic tube and plastic end walls, wherein the plastic end walls are arranged to close the plastic tube so that inner surfaces of the plastic tube and the plastic end walls are towards the room.
SHELTER ASSEMBLY
An underground shelter assembly for accommodating a small group of people, the shelter assembly comprising: a generally cylindrical body with a hollow internal space for accommodating the small group of people, the cylindrical body being adapted to be positioned underground, an access passage extending into the internal space of the cylindrical body through an entrance of the cylindrical body to allow one or more people to enter the internal space of the cylindrical body, the access passage being defined by one or more passage walls extending transversely relative to a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body towards ground level during use to terminate in an access opening wherein at least a portion of the passage walls defining the access opening comprises fire resistant material and wherein the access opening comprises a fire resistant access door.
Damping device
A damping device damps or prevents pressure shocks, such as pulsations, in hydraulic supply circuits, preferably in the form of a silencer, and has a damping housing (1) surrounding a damping chamber (19), with a fluid inlet (11) and a fluid outlet (13). A fluid receiving chamber (19) extends between the fluid inlet and fluid outlet. During operation of the device, a fluid flow coming from the fluid inlet (11) in a through-flow direction (15) traverses the damping chamber (19) toward the fluid outlet (13). Parts of the fluid receiving chamber (19) extend in a direction transverse to the through-flow direction (15). The fluid receiving chamber (19) is located directly adjacent to the fluid inlet (11) and the fluid outlet (13).
