Method for assembling a building using concrete columns
11808025 · 2023-11-07 · ·

A concrete and steel insulated building is constructed by forming excavated holes and inserting into each hole a 3-dimensional reinforcing bar cage having a length so as to define reinforcement for a pile and to stand upwardly of the hole to a height above the hole to provide reinforcement for a column having a height of the building wall. The pile is formed by casting concrete into each hole around the cage and setting the material so as to define an upper surface of the pile at or above the ground. With the pile set, a formwork is defined by a series of stacked openable form components standing upwardly and a further body of concrete is cast into the formwork to form the column which is integrated with the pile by the cage. A roof and insulated walls are applied on the building supported by the columns.

Stay-in-place forms and methods and equipment for installation thereof

Stay-in-place forms and methods and equipment for installing thereof. A concrete form includes a vertical component and a horizontal component, the vertical component located substantially perpendicular to the horizontal component. Also, the form includes an interior surface, at least a portion of the interior surface providing a form for supporting uncured concrete; wherein the uncured concrete forms a concrete structural portion upon curing of the uncured concrete; and wherein the interior surface remains attached to the concrete structural portion after curing. The form may include inserts and compatible form attachments. Also, forms including recesses may be utilized to reduce the weight thereof. Lifting equipment and accessories may be utilized to lift the form from a form holder and set same in place. Forms contain the work area as soon as it is installed to minimize fall hazards and the time, costs, and downtime associated with installation of safety measures.

INSULATING CONCRETE FORM APPARATUS

An insulating concrete form system uses a stacked arrangement of foam panels to receive pourable concrete to construct a concrete wall of a building structure. Webs located in the panels hold the panels in parallel spaced relation. The webs have laterally extending ties. The ties have one or more projecting members having arms extending into grooves adapted to receive rebar. Outwardly extending truss member are used to fasten multiple webs during shipping. Couplings releasably connect the ties to end portions of the web and allow the ties to be moved along the length of the end portions as desired.

A MODULAR STRUCTURAL SYSTEM AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD THEREOF

A modular structural system, comprising one or more building units consisting of two counter mold partitions, each of which is adapted with one or more anchoring means, into which one or more connecting locks are engaged to firmly lock and stabilize the two counter mold partitions, where each of the two counter mold partitions is peripherally adapted to receive one or more affixing coupling means; two or more coupling means for affixing two of the one or more building units; two or more coupling means for affixing the one or more building units to an adjacent building element.

MICROBES FOR SPACE STRUCTURES

A building structure comprising a first film and a second film. The first film and the second film are each impregnated with L-Dopa. The building structure further includes regolith bulk material between the first film and the second film.

Lining method and lining

A lining method includes fixing a backing strip in a frame shape to a concrete surface of already-placed concrete so that the backing strip protrudes from the concrete surface; disposing a filler inside a frame of the backing strip; making edges of a plurality of lining plates butt against each other at a position of the backing strip to cover the backing strip and the concrete surface; and joining the edges of the lining plates by seal welding.

COMBINATION STRUCTURE OF PERMANENT FORM AND PREFABRICATED STEEL ASSEMBLY FOR STEEL CONCRETE COMPOSITE MEMBER

The present invention relates to a combination structure of permanent forms and a prefabricated steel assembly for a steel concrete composite member, the combination structure including: the prefabricated steel assembly having a plurality of shape steel members and a plurality of support bars; and each permanent form having a flat plate, ‘L’-shaped protrusions, a bent corner, and a ‘L’-shaped outer protrusion.

MODULAR MANUFACTURE, DELIVERY, AND ASSEMBLY OF NUCLEAR REACTOR BUILDING SYSTEMS

A nuclear reactor is constructed in sub-modules and super modules which are manufactured, packaged, and shipped to a construction site. At least some of the modules are packaged in suitable shielding containers or portions of containers, which may be steel. The modules are assembled on-site, and some of the modules remain within their respective shipping containers after assembly. One or more of the shipping containers may be used as concrete forms to support the pouring of concrete in between selected modules. The concrete may be used for structural support, shielding, or both.

MODULAR MANUFACTURE, DELIVERY, AND ASSEMBLY OF NUCLEAR REACTOR CORE SYSTEMS

A nuclear reactor is designed to allow efficient packing of components within the reactor vessel, such as by offsetting the core, and/or vertically stacking components. The in-vessel storage system can be separate from the support cylinder and these components can be fabricated and shipped separately and coupled together at the construction site. Furthermore, the in-vessel storage system can be located adjacent to the core rather than being located circumferentially around it, and may also be located beneath the heat exchanger to further improve packing of components within the vessel. Through these, and other changes, the delicate components can be manufactured in a manufacturing facility, assembled, and shipped by commercial transportation options without exceeding the shipping envelope.

NUCLEAR FUEL ASSEMBLY WITH MULTI-PITCH WIRE WRAP
20220051812 · 2022-02-17 ·

A nuclear fuel assembly is constructed with fuel assembly components that are wire wrapped and positioned in hexagonal rings within a fuel assembly duct. The fuel assembly components positioned in an outermost ring of the fuel assembly are wire wrapped with a pitch that is shorter than fuel assembly components positioned at an interior ring of the fuel assembly. The shorter pitch at the outer ring of the fuel assembly increases pressure drop of a coolant fluid at the edge and corner subchannels and thereby reduces the temperature gradient across the fuel assembly, which provides a higher output temperature of the nuclear reactor without substantially increasing peak temperature of the fuel cladding.
