WATERTIGHT JOINT AND METHOD OF INSTALLING A WATERTIGHT JOINT
A waterstop joint includes a sealing strip made of an elastomer or a rubber like material, two bulged portions, each bulged portion extending along a different one of said two peripheries of the sealing strip, two fixation strips, each fixation strip extending from a different one of said two bulged portions, and extending in the same plane as the sealing strip, and a multitude of injection tubes for injecting a curing liquid, such as epoxy resin. One outer end of each of said injection tubes is mounted to, or in the vicinity of, one of the steel strips. The outer end of each of the injection tubes is mounted to, or immediately adjacent to, one of said two bulged portions.
Method and apparatus for producing a tubular sealing element
A method for producing of a tubular sealing element for sealing a safing slot in a curtain wall construction is described, particularly for sealing the slot with regard to noise, smoke, and fire and if applicable with regard to water, and an apparatus for producing such a tubular sealing element, as well as to the use of the tubular sealing element produced according to the invention for fire-, smoke-, sound- and water-proof sealing of perimeter joints in curtain wall constructions are described. In particular, an improved method for continuous and endless production of a tubular sealing element for different safing slot dimensions is described.
RUPTURE ELEMENT IN CONCRETE STRUCTURES
The invention relates to a rupture element, which is located in concrete structures and the rupture element comprises a sheet material with edges that are bent at an angle so that they produce a tenon-shape. The rupture element, if necessary, is waterproof and produces slightly weakened cracks in the predefined location of concrete.
Unitized curtainwall systems and methods
This document discusses, among other things, unitized curtain systems and methods related to the fabrication and installation of curtainwalls. A curtainwall unit may comprises a frame including a horizontal gutter, a horizontal sill, a first vertical mullion between a first end of the horizontal gutter and a second end of the horizontal sill, and a second vertical mullion between a second end of the horizontal gutter and a second end of the horizontal sill. The horizontal gutter may include a rear channel extending across the horizontal gutter, and at least one protected horizontal channel at least partially beneath the rear channel, the rear channel having at least one opening to the at least one horizontal gutter. Each vertical mullion may include a protected vertical chamber having an opening to the at least one protected horizontal channel.
Fully bonded waterbar
A sealing element for sealing joints in concrete structures including a profile having a center portion and first and second side portions on opposite sides of, the center portion. The side portions of the profile are at least partially covered with a functional coating which is operative to bond with a fresh cementitious composition casted against it and allowed to harden. A method produces a sealing element, a method seals a joint between two sections of concrete, a sealed construction, and a use of a sealing element for sealing of a joint in a concrete construction.
Modular integrated construction joint
The invention relates to a modular integrated construction joint which includes a first building module, a second building module or a structural wall and a joint between the first building module and the second building module or structural wall. The joint includes a flexible seamless stitching system, which provides a long-term firestop, smokestop and waterproof for the joint cavity in-between modules in modular integrated construction (MiC).
FRAGMENT-, OVERPRESSURE-, RADIATION-, AND TOXIC-RESISTANT EMERGENCY SAFETY SHELTER
A modular safety shelter provides protection from fragment, overpressure, radiation, and toxic hazards through a combination of physical design of modular segments, of joint seals between modular segments, of door assemblies, and of HVAC control systems. The modular shelter is formed of two or more prefabricated concrete modular segments each including a built-in foundation, roof, and side walls, and a prefabricated concrete vestibule segment providing an airlock-like access to the shelter. The prefabricated modular segments and vestibule segment are transported to a site and assembled to each other on-site to provide a fully enclosed space within the modular shelter. A multi-layer joint seal is formed between adjacent modular segments to prevent ingress of toxic, flammable, or thermal hazards. An integrated HVAC controller monitors toxic or flammable hazards outside and inside of the shelter, and controls HVAC systems to minimize spread of contaminants upon detecting a hazard.
Joint sealing profile, construction joint bridging device and method of manufacturing a joint sealing profile
A construction joint bridging device with a joint sealing profile and a joint sealing profile as such, as well as a method for producing a joint sealing profile and a method for producing and disassembling a construction joint bridging device. The joint sealing profile consisting at least partially of an elastic material and having a holding portion for fastening to the construction joint bridging device, wherein the holding portion has at least in sections a material composition which can be activated in a targeted manner by chemical, thermal and physical exposure so that the volume of the holding portion changes.
