Dual panels are supported vertically within the aligned dual ceiling and floor channels Each panel having a width less than that of each channel and the channels are spaced apart to provide a gap between the panels. The panels have a height of greater than 2800 mm and extend through a suspended ceiling to engage the respective channel forming members at the ceiling slab above the suspended ceiling. Outer vertical pieces of the channel forming members of the floor channels have a height that does not extend vertically beyond an upper surface of the adjacent floor covering.

The invention relates to a bracket for connecting components for a drywall construction, in particular a bracket for a slidable fastening, preferably a slidable ceiling-side fastening, in the framework of a drywall, preferably a bracket for a drywall with a planked, preferably multi-planked, framework. Described herein is a drywall apparatus and method. The apparatus includes a finishing drywall liner, a framing drywall liner, a first gypsum-containing segment between the finishing drywall liner and the framing drywall liner, and a second gypsum-containing segment between the finishing drywall liner and the framing drywall liner. The first segment and the second segment are connected by a hinge formed from the finishing drywall liner and the framing drywall liner to allow an angle between the first segment and the second segment to vary.

A method for producing a facing includes at least one first panel and one second panel that are each delimited by a front face and a rear face connected by a lateral edge, the method including a) a first panel is fitted, b) a first part of a connector is fastened to the first panel such that a second part of the connector projects beyond said first panel, c) a second panel is fitted next to the first panel and fastened to the second part of the connector.

The present invention is directed to a gypsum panel and a method of making such gypsum panel. For instance, in one embodiment, the gypsum panel comprises a gypsum core and a first facing material and a second facing material sandwiching the gypsum core, wherein the gypsum core includes gypsum and an alkoxylated compound. In another embodiment, the gypsum panel comprises a gypsum core and a first facing material and a second facing material sandwiching the gypsum core, wherein the gypsum core includes gypsum and a polyol compound and wherein the gypsum panel exhibits a humidified deflection of greater than 0 inches to 0.05 inches. The methods of the present invention are directed to making the aforementioned gypsum panels by providing the first facing material, providing a gypsum slurry comprising gypsum, water, and the respective compound onto the first facing material, and providing the second facing material on the gypsum slurry.

Disclosed are product (e.g., board), slurry, and methods relating to an uncooked starch that can be used to enhance strength in one or more gypsum layers in the board. The uncooked starch has a hot water viscosity of from about 20 BU to about 300 BU according to the HWVA method, and/or a mid-range peak viscosity of from about 120 Brabender Units to about 1000 Brabender Units.

Wall panels for building construction may include a corrugated sheet including a first series of peaks on a first side of the corrugated sheet configured for positioning to face a room interior. The corrugated sheet may also include a second series of peaks on a second, opposite side of the corrugated sheet configured for positioning to face a room exterior. A radiant barrier including a material reflective to heat may be secured only to the second series of peaks. The corrugated sheet may form pockets of air between the radiant barrier and the corrugated sheet.
