System and method for segmenting spaces
The present invention provides a system and method for segmenting spaces. The system may provide an aluminum extrusion system for supporting rigid and flexible panels. The aluminum extrusion system may comprise a custom designed aluminum extrusion that may mount flexible or rigid substrates with interlocking bases and connectors. The system is constructed and arranged to be capable of temporary and permanent installation, and is structurally sound, and safe. The system is design to be capable of effectively blending with the existing décor. The aluminum extrusion system provides a method for segmenting space to maximize the functional space which may be utilized, in a way that is attractive, functional, temporary or permanent, and portable.
NOTCH BRACING CONNECTORS
The present invention relates to connecting spacing members between support members using spacing members having notches that engage the side edges of the linear shape holes or round holes in the support members whether the holes have rims or ledges to secure the spacing members or crossing other support members having notches in the edges of the lips. The spacer braces can overlap each other and connect at the top, bottom or within the holes of support members. The support members have ledges and rims to eliminate vertical and horizontal movement of the spacer braces with end fingers to stop end the spacer braces.
METAL FRAMING SELF-LOCKING CONNECTORS
The present invention relates to metal framed wall components with self-locking fixed and sliding connections between support members and crossing connecting members without using fasteners to connect the two crossing metal framing members together. Different variations of the shapes of the connecting members as well as the location and shape of the notches, ledges, tabs and notched-tabs are used between the members at the holes, punch-outs or indentations all determine the self-locking connections.
STUD AND TRACK
A construction stud and track system having a track that includes a central longitudinally extending track portion having a first longitudinal track edge and a second longitudinal track edge opposing the first track edge; a first planar track panel extending substantially perpendicularly from the first track edge; a second planar track panel extending substantially perpendicularly from the second track edge and substantially parallel to the first planar track panel; a first engagement formation located on a planar track panel; a stud including a central longitudinally extending stud portion having a first stud edge and a second stud edge opposing the first stud edge; a first planar stud panel extending from the first stud edge; a second planar stud panel extending from the second stud edge; and a second engagement formation located on a planar stud panel, wherein the first engagement formation is configured to engage a second engagement formation.
MULTI-PLANE CONNECTOR BRACKET
The present invention relates to a metal framing bracket secured between support members or secured to a single support member having lips with notches engaging the aperture of support members allowing additional bracing members to overlap the brackets or channel shapes by increasing or decreasing the bracket size and shape of the bracket.
WATERPROOFING AND SAFETY-INCREASING PREFABRICATED BUILDING FRAMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A waterproof and safety framing system is disclosed. The framing system includes a building defining an opening, a wall panel, and a framing assembly. The framing assembly includes receiver and a bottom track. The receiver is installed along an edge of the opening, with the receiver including a receiver bottom wall that defines a receiver ridge extending along a length of the receiver. The bottom track is attached to an edge of the wall panel and including a track bottom wall that defines a track ridge, with the receiver and the bottom track matingly engaging such that the bottom track overlays the receiver and the receiver ridge and the track ridge are proximal one another. The framing assembly is structured to prevent the wall panel from passing through the opening in a first direction.
TRACK SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING WALL STUDS
An apparatus for supporting and retaining a plurality of parallel spaced apart wall studs comprises a longitudinally extending base having first and second side edges and first and second opposed sidewalls extending generally perpendicular to the base from the first and second side edges, wherein the base and sidewalls together define a trough for receiving and retaining an end portion of the plurality of wall studs. The apparatus further comprises a plurality of clips sized to fit within and extend transversely across the trough, each of the plurality of clips having first and second tabs extending from the base wherein the first and second tabs each define a slot with a corresponding of the first and second sidewalls sized to receive a portion of the wall studs therein.
AN EXTERIOR WALL AND A METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING AN EXTERIOR WALL
Disclosed is an exterior wall (17) for a building (11). The exterior wall (17) comprises an inner wall (20) including a load-bearing structure formed by a transversal roof metal profile (14) and a transversal foundation metal profile (13) between which a number of intermediate metal profiles (15) extend, and wherein an inside surface (59) of the inner wall (20) is provided inner sheathing (63). The exterior wall (17) also comprises an outer wall (21) including a load-bearing structure formed by a transversal roof metal profile (14) and a transversal foundation metal profile (13) between which a number of intermediate metal profiles (15) extend, and wherein an outside surface (64) of the outer wall (21) is provided outer sheathing (62). The inner wall (20) and the outer wall (21) are mutually fixed at the transversal metal roof profiles (13) and the transversal metal foundation profiles(14) so that a cavity (34) is formed between the inner wall (20) and the outer wall (21). A method for constructing an exterior wall (17) of a building (11) is also disclosed.
BLOCKING COMPONENT FOR CONSTRUCTION FRAMING ASSEMBLY AND CONSTRUCTION FRAMING ASSEMBLY COMPRISING BLOCKING COMPONENT
A blocking component for construction framing assembly comprises a web, a first flange, a second flange, a first ear, a second ear, a third ear, and a fourth ear. The first flange has a first flange first edge attached to a web first edge with the first flange extending away from the web bottom surface. The second flange has a second flange first edge attached to a web second edge with the second flange extending away from the web bottom surface. The first ear extends from a first flange first end. The second ear extends from a first flange second end. The third ear extends from a second flange first end. The fourth ear extends from a second flange second end. The blocking component may extend between and be attached at the ears to a pair of studs used in construction framing assembly.
Triangular stud shaft wall system
A shaft wall assembly system including triangular shaped steel studs with one or more layers of wall board secured to one side of the triangular shaped steel studs. The triangular steel studs preferably rest in a notched floor runner and a notched ceiling runner. The one or more layers of wall board are then directly attached to a flat side of the triangular stud with properly sized steel screws. This system will be useful as a shaft wall system or in locations where attachment of wall board to both sides of a wall system is not feasible.
