Connection Clip for Securing a Panel to a Support Grid
20200002943 · 2020-01-02 ·

The present disclosure relates generally to a connection clip for securing a panel to a support grid, for example, suitable for securing a wood grille panel to a ceiling grid. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a connection clip including a body having a base with a width extending between opposing first and second lateral edges and first and second arms extending upward respectively from the first and second lateral edges of the base so as to form a cavity configured to receive a structural cross member of the panel. Engagement lips extend laterally inward from an upper end of each arm and are configured to grip respective first and second flanges of a grid member of the support grid so as to secure the panel to the grid member. Each of the first and second engagement lips span a substantial majority of the depth of the connection clip.

Panel mounting system

Disclosed is a system and method for mounting a panel (40) such as an acoustic panel, baffle or fin. The system for mounting the panel (40) can comprise an elongate member (12). A base (14) of the member (12) can be configured to enable it to be mounted with respect to a structure. Opposing sidewalls (13) of the member (12) can extend from the base (14) such that, in profile, the sidewalls define a neck portion (N) that extends to an enlarged head portion (H) of the member (12). The panel (40) can have a recess (42) formed in an edge thereof. The recess (42) can be configured to generally correspond to an external profile of the member (12). An inner recess portion (43) of the panel (40) can be enlarged to receive the member head portion (H), with an outer recess portion (45) being configured to receive the member neck portion (N). The outer recess portion (45) can open out of the panel edge such that, when the member (12) is located in the panel recess (42) it retains the panel (40) to the member (12).

Disclosed is a system and method for mounting a panel (40) such as an acoustic panel, baffle or fin. The system for mounting the panel (40) can comprise an elongate member (12) formed from a metal, composite or plastic. The panel (40) can be formed from a deformable material and can have a recess (42) formed in an edge thereof. The recess (42) can be configured to generally correspond to an external profile of the member (12). An inner recess portion (43) of the panel (40) can be enlarged to receive the member head portion (H), with an outer recess portion (45) being configured to receive the member neck portion (N). The outer recess portion (45) can open out of the panel edge. When the member (12) is push-fit or press-fit into the panel recess (42) the member causes the panel to deform relative to the member such that the member is able to be located in the panel recess whereby the panel (40) is retained to the member (12).

A fastening device for fastening lighting devices to T-shaped profiles of a false ceiling comprises a base wall on which the lighting device may be fastened. The fastening device also comprises two longitudinal side walls rigidly connected along the longitudinal sides of the base wall and a plurality of fastening elements arranged along the longitudinal sides of the base wall, wherein the fastening elements can be folded in the direction of the base wall, to engage the fastening device with the T-shaped profile. The fastening device also comprises at least two spacer elements arranged between the base wall and a respective longitudinal side wall to provide a gap between the side walls and the base wall. This gap provides a passage for the electrical connections between the lighting device and a power supply source located above the false ceiling.

INDIRECT LIGHT COVE
