SOUND ISOLATION ASSEMBLY

A sound isolation assembly comprising: a center ferrule; a top grommet isolator; a bottom grommet isolator; a spring; and a furring channel engagement portion. The sound isolation assembly is configured to engage with a structure and a furring channel, which itself is connected to a ceiling panel, such that the noise passing from one floor to the other is lessened as compared to a control system that does not use the sound isolation assembly. The spring may be steel and the grommet isolators may be rubber or the like, and the combination of the steel spring and grommet isolators reduces noise.

SUSPENDED TILE SYSTEM AND ABSORBER TILE ELEMENT

An absorber tile element includes compressed mineral fiber material and has a first major surface, an opposing second major surface and at least one side edge surface, and an anchor element associated with one of the first and second major surface or one of the at least one side edge surfaces. The anchor element includes a head portion and a threaded portion, the head portion defining an open cavity facing a top surface. An engagement member is arranged in the cavity, and arranged to engage with a hook element. The threaded portion is threaded into the absorber tile element such that the head portion becomes substantially recessed in the absorber tile element. A corresponding tile system can includes the absorber tile element.

DECKING ANCHOR, DECKING SYSTEM UTILIZING THE DECKING ANCHOR, AND METHOD OF INSTALLING THE DECKING ANCHOR

The decking anchors have a web anchor and a flange anchor that are operatively coupled together. In an assembly position, the web anchor and the flange anchor may be oriented in the same plane. After insertion into the cavity of the decking, the flange anchor may contact the upper flange of the decking, the web anchor may be rotated (e.g., after moving vertically upward while the flange anchor remains stationary), the web anchor may engage the webs of the decking (e.g., after moving vertically downward while the flange anchor remains stationary), and a stop may be operatively coupled to the web anchor and the flange anchor, in order to secure the web anchor and the flange anchor to each other while the web anchor contacts the webs and the flange anchor contacts the upper flange to form an anchor within the decking that has loading resistance in all directions.

A battery powered, microprocessor controlled device that rotates a motorized horizontal winder assembly to wind the suspension wire of an acoustic ceiling tile system about itself. It has a winder assembly made of a worm drive and housing. The housing and worm wheel have a alignable open throats extending to their midpoints to accommodate the insertion of the vertical component of the suspension wire. A wire lug extends from the bottom face of the work wheel that contacts the tail of the suspension wire to spin the tail about the rest of the suspension wire.

Sound transmission control in cross laminated timber construction
11939778 · 2024-03-26 · ·

A method of reducing sound transmission in a building constructed using horizontal cross laminated timber (CLT) panels to provide a floor of the building and a floor assembly are described. In an implementation, the method includes: attaching a plurality of energy transmission control mounts to a ceiling side of one or more of the cross-laminated timber panels using fasteners; attaching a plurality of furring channels to the energy transmission control mounts; and attaching a cross laminated timber sheet to the plurality of furring channels to form an exposed ceiling layer.
