Fascia board installation accessory and associated use thereof
11566429 · 2023-01-31 ·

A fascia board installation accessory includes a plurality of planar segments configured to form a substantially U-shaped configuration and is suitably sized and shaped to fit about a bottom edge of the existing fascia board, and an anchor segment extending outwardly away from the U-shaped configuration and directly abutted against one of an existing roof rafter and an existing roof lookout. The anchor segment is statically and integrally connected to the U-shaped configuration. The U-shaped configuration has a first centrally registered longitudinal axis. The anchor segment has a second centrally registered longitudinal axis oriented non-parallel to the first centrally registered longitudinal axis. The anchor segment has a plurality of apertures juxtaposed side-by-side and centrally aligned along the second centrally registered longitudinal axis.

System and method of securing a roof truss to a load-bearing wall
11692348 · 2023-07-04 · ·

A system and method for securing a roof truss to a load bearing wall is disclosed. A strap is attached to a roof truss at one end and extended to the top of a load-bearing wall. A buckle is placed over the strap to pinch the strap between the vertical and horizontal arms of the buckle. The end of the strap is wrapped back toward the vertical side of the roof truss and a flat plate is placed to pinch the free end of the strap between the buckle and the flat plate. Screws are placed through holes in the flat plate and corresponding holes in the buckle to attach the system to the top of the load-bearing wall. The system and method of the invention provides both horizontal (lateral) resistance and uplift resistance, thus resisting horizontal (lateral) forces while at the same time providing uplift resistance.

FRAME FOR SECTIONAL FOLDABLE PREFABRICATED BUILDING
20220364353 · 2022-11-17 ·

A frame using tubular columns and tubular rafters of generally rectangular cross section. Columns are arranged parallel, spaced apart, opposed pairs that are connected by bolted-on girts to form wall frames. Rafters are arranged parallel, spaced apart, opposed pairs that are connected by bolted-on purlins to form roof frames. Inwardly facing sides of columns and rafters have pluralities of castellated holes. Outwardly facing sides of columns and rafters have another plurality of castellated holes. All connections for braces and crane lifts are made in the inwardly facing sides of the columns and rafters. Joints have either a ridge plate or a haunch plates, each plate with two bolt holes that may be pivot holes and additional bolt holes for securing the plates. Base plates have two pairs of parallel vertical spaced-apart flanges, each pair fitting within and releasably attachable to a column. Pairs may be arranged parallel or perpendicular.

Rafter bracket
11572684 · 2023-02-07 · ·

A rafter bracket configured to connect a vertical post to a rafter and beam(s) is described herein. The rafter bracket may include lower vertical side plates, a horizontal plate, and upper vertical side plates. The horizontal plate may be perpendicular to the upper and lower vertical side plates and may separate the upper vertical side plates from the lower vertical side plates. The horizontal plate and lower vertical side plates may create a lower cavity that receives the vertical post. Meanwhile, the rafter may be positioned on one of the upper vertical side plates and positioned between two of the upper vertical side plates and may be angled at an acute angle relative to the vertical post as well as the upper and lower vertical side plates. One or more of the lower vertical side plates may receive lateral plates that define a lateral cavity receiving the beam.

BUILDING AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING BUILDING

This building comprises a foundation, a main building part that is provided to the foundation and that has a framework structure, and a roof that is provided to the main building part and that has a truss structure. Moreover, a method for constructing the building includes: a first step for forming the foundation; a second step for creating the main building part having a framework structure on the foundation; and a third step for attaching, to the main building part, a roof frame having a pre-assembled truss structure.

Framing device
11674303 · 2023-06-13 ·

A simplified framing system with two or more arches which are joined together into a unitary structure by means of connector elements. Each arch is joined to a base by means of connector elements herein termed “base frame connectors”. The angle frame connectors and base frame connectors are preferably fabricated from sheet metal by conventional die cutting and press-forming or stamping techniques. The simplified framing system of this disclosure is particularly designed for assembly using nominal 2×4 inch lumber. The system does not require cutting the lumber except for straight, perpendicular cutting of the lumber to the desired lengths.

Modular rafter assembly
