FOLDABLE ROOF
A foldable roof, including a plurality of elongated plates, for being disposed one aside the other, and a plurality of supporting members each for supporting one of the elongated plates, where each two adjacent supporting members of the supporting members are pivotally connected to one another, thereby allowing deploying and folding the elongated plates, and for each of the plates and its supporting member, gravity disposition elements configured to allow perpendicular displacement between the plate and the supporting member while limiting parallel displacement therebetween, thereby at any state of the foldable roof except for a folded state, each plate is connected to the supporting member thereof by gravity only.
RETRACTABLE ROOF STRUCTURE
The present disclosure relates to building structures having roof arrangements that can be extended and retracted. Roof arrangements having ridge beams are disclosed. Building structures having double roof arrangements are also disclosed.
FOLDABLE STRUCTURE FOR A SUNSHADE, A SHUTTER OR A FENCE
A foldable structure for a sunshade, a shutter or a fence, comprising at least one guiding member (10); a plurality of displaceable elements (20) slidably connected to said guiding member (10) forming a row (2), a stroke end (54), a first actuator (31) connected to first displaceable element (20) of the row (2), foldable spacers (40) connecting each pair of successive displaceable elements (20), and a spacer guide (50) including successive first portion (51), second portion (52), third portion (53), wherein the second portion (52) urge the foldable spacers (40) from a first folding position to a second folding position; and wherein a second actuator (32) produces a relative movement between the second portion (52) of the spacer guide (50) and the stroke end (54) to adjust the longitude of the third portion (53), said second actuator (32) being in coordination with the first actuator (31).
Adjustable awning and retractable canopy system
Provided is an awning system comprising: a) two vertical tracks; b) two arms, with each arm attached at a first end to one of the vertical tracks, the arm configured to move in a vertical direction and pivot in relation to the track, each arm further configured to be extendible; c) a cross-bar, with each end of the cross-bar attached to a second end of one of the arms; d) a piece of fabric attached at one end to the cross-bar; and e) a holder placed on top of the tracks for holding a second end of the fabric; wherein the awning fabric is configured to be adjusted in both the vertical and the horizontal direction; wherein a user can move the arms vertically and extend the arms to adjust a position of the fabric. Provided is a retractable canopy system comprising: a) a track; b) a frame movably attached to the track; c) a support attached to the frame; d) a connector movably attached to the support, e) two or more rods attached to the connector; f) a canopy piece attached to the rods; wherein the awning is configured to have a stowed and deployed position that are obtained by moving the frame against the track.
Retractable roof structure
A retractable roof structure includes first and second roof support structures separated by a span distance, with first and second roof sections supported on the first and second roof support structures. A load transfer structure is configured to transfer load from a frame of the second roof section downwardly through a frame and truss structure of the first roof section to the first and second roof support structures.
RETRACTABLE ROOF WITH HINGED FOLDING PANEL STRUCTURES SUSPENDED WITH CABLES
A retractable roof for a building having a supporting frame and a high structure extending vertically above the supporting frame. The roof has at least one structure section with first and second panels. The first panel is hingeably mounted on the supporting frame at a proximal hinge and the second panel is hingeably mounted on the first panel at a distal hinge. A distal end of the second panel is suspended to the high structure with a distal cable connected to a distal motorized winch. A tackle member connects to both first and second panels adjacent the proximal hinge and the distal end, respectively, and includes a tackle wire that forms a wire side of a triangular cross-sectional shape with the first and second panels. The tackle wire connects to a winch mechanism to control a length of the wire side.
REMOVABLE ROOF DEVICE
The removable roof system includes a set of guy ropes (10), each of the guy ropes extending between a top anchor point (2) and a bottom anchor point (3) of a structure to be covered, a velum (1) mobile between a deployed configuration in which the velum covers the structure to be covered and a retracted configuration in which the structure to be covered is uncovered, and a set of carriages (20) to which the velum is attached, arranged so as to be moved along the guy ropes of the set of guy ropes between the top and bottom anchor points in order to cause the velum to pass between its deployed and retracted configurations and comprising for each of the guy ropes of the set of guy ropes at least one motorized carriage, at least one motorized carriage cooperating with the associated guy rope by meshing or by alternating wedging.
Cover system and method for retractable buildings
An extendable cover system and method for extending a cover over an opening is provided. The system includes a plurality of panels oriented horizontally and stacked vertically at a side of the opening, with each panel held by a corresponding panel holding arm. One or more guide rails extend across the opening to receive the panels. A panel moving mechanism moves the panels one-by-one onto the one or more guide rails. Each time a panel is deployed, the panel holding arms are lifted vertically to align a next panel with the guide rails, the next panel is then deployed, and the process continues until the opening is covered.

REMOVABLE AND RE-ATTACHABLE ROOF SYSTEM FOR MODULAR RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION
The present disclosure describes a residential dwelling unit designed for vertical expansion by way of a removable and re-attachable roof system. By removing certain components of the original dwelling unit's roof, that same structure can be converted into the floor of a subsequent vertical addition. Specific components that were removed from the original roof are then re-attached on top of the vertical addition.
