CONCRETE SLAB ATTACHMENT DEVICE
An attachment device attaches adjacent first and second concrete pieces to one another along corresponding first and second interfacing side surfaces thereof, thereby forming a concrete piece attachment arrangement. The device includes an elongate base member having opposed first and second portions, and first and second lateral members securing to and respectively extending substantially perpendicularly from first and second ends of the base member. The first and second portions of the base member extend within first and second recesses respectively formed into the concrete pieces, in a direction generally perpendicular to the first and second interfacing side surfaces. The first and second lateral member respectively extend through bore holes extending through the first and second concrete pieces and connecting with the respective first and second recesses. A method for attaching the concrete pieces to one another with an attachment piece is also described.
PPVC connector
A PPVC connector is provided for joining a first PPVC (Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction) module and a second PPVC module. The PPVC connector is adopted for coupling or joining a first PPVC module and a second PPVC module together, comprising a first anchor for attaching to the first PPVC module; a second anchor for attaching to the second PPVC module; and a frame for coupling the first anchor and the second anchor together. The first anchor, the second anchor, the frame or a combination of any of these components comprise a plate having at least one side for attaching to one of the PPVC Module. Due to confinement effect, the first module and the second module are prevented from detachment so as to bind the first PPVC module and the second PPVC module together permanently to form a monolithic assemble.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CEMENTITIOUS BOARD, APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A CEMENTITIOUS BOARD, AND CEMENTITIOUS BOARD
Method for producing a cementitious board (1), wherein a first liner (2) with first overlap sections (5) is provided and furnished with at least one layer of at least one slurry comprising a cementitious material (3); a second liner (4) with second overlap sections (8) is provided and arranged such that it contacts the first overlap sections (5) of the first liner (2), wherein the at least one layer of the at least one slurry (3) is arranged between the first liner (2) and the second liner (4); an adhesive foam (6) is provided at least partly on at least one of the first or second overlap sections (5, 8); and the first liner (2) and the second liner (4) are bonded via the adhesive foam (6) in the overlap sections (5, 8).
Pre-fabricated structures and methods
Building structures can be fabricated at an offsite, and then assembled at the construction site. The building structures can include beams and wall panels having metal attachments. The beams and wall panels can be assembled by coupling the metal attachments, for example, by welding.
METHOD FOR USING AERATED AUTOCLAVED CONCRETE IN RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION
A method for construction using a panel and plank system that may optionally be made of Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC), wherein wall panels are delivered, erected and attached to structural forms and braced with properly designed shoring/struts with form ties and specifically designed “panel ties”. Intermediate bracing is installed at midspan locations where spans are short and there is a possibility of wall buckling. Floor/roof planks are set on top of the walls being cognizant of bearing surface requirements. The deformed and post-tension reinforcing steel is set/installed and any miscellaneous detailing is completed. Thin AAC panels can be installed as form liners for added insulation where dimensions accommodate them. Structural grout or small aggregate concrete is placed, consolidated/vibrated, and finished and allowed to cure to minimum required strengths. Roof pours are given a “crown” to allow proper drainage.
Water barrier exterior sheathing panel
An exterior sheathing cementitious panel which prevents water penetration and air leakage is provided. Methods for manufacturing exterior sheathing cementitious panels with a highly efficient integrated air/water barrier sheet are also provided. An exterior sheathing system employing the exterior sheathing cementitious panel is provided.
Ballistic panel
A ballistic panel formed with a ballistic material, the panel comprising: a panel with a filled void; wherein the filled void is filled with a ballistic replacement material; and wherein the filled void exhibits ballistic properties equivalent to the ballistic panel formed with the ballistic material; wherein the ballistic replacement material and the ballistic material comprise between about 1121 kg/cubic meter (about 70 pounds per cubic foot) and about 1442 kg/cubic meter (about 90 pounds per cubic foot); and wherein the ballistic replacement material and the ballistic material comprise: about 1 part by mass Portland cement; about 0.5 to 1.5 part by mass fine aggregate; and about 0.0005 to 0.05 part by mass air entrainment additive; about 0.005 to 0.15 part by mass fiber; about 0.005 to 0.05 part by mass aluminum hydroxide and about 0.005 to 0.05 part by mass calcium phosphate.
APPARATUS FOR FASTENING PREFABRICATED CONCRETE BLOCKS
A fastening apparatus for two or more prefabricated blocks, in which the apparatus includes a perforated plate, a first block with a step, a connector plate that sized and shaped to engage the step, and an upstanding wall that is spaced apart from the block member. The perforated plate is connected to the wall and extends away from it towards the step. The perforated plate is partially mounted on part of the connector plate so as to sandwich it between the perforated plate and the step.
3D CONCRETE PRINTING WITH FLEXIBLE TAPE
A concrete construction made by 3D concrete printing having two or more layers of cementitious material extruded one above the other, and a reinforcing structure reinforcing the two or more layers. The reinforcing structure has at least two flexible longitudinal elongated steel elements running in lengthwise direction, and one or more flexible transverse steel elements forming an angle with the lengthwise direction so that these flexible transverse steel elements are present in the two or more layers. The structure also has a positioning element for positioning the at least two flexible longitudinal elongated elements and the flexible transverse steel elements, a polymer coating or yarns making stitches. The polymer coating or the stitches are applied on the at least two flexible longitudinal elongated steel elements, on the flexible transverse steel elements and on the positioning element thereby making a bond.
