Composite construction panels and applications thereof
In one aspect, composite construction materials are described herein. In some embodiments, a composite construction panel comprises a substrate layer, a cover layer separated from the substrate layer by one or more spacers, and at least one mat disposed between the substrate layer and the cover layer, wherein the mat comprises at least one phase change material disposed in at least one phase change region.
Frameless construction method using single and double plenum panels
A method of constructing a building comprising the steps of attaching a first panel to a second panel. The first panel is one of a single plenum panel and a multi-plenum panel and the second panel is one of a single plenum panel and a multi-plenum panel.
Framing Assembly
A framing assembly has at least one rafter vent assembly having a connecting member with a plurality of vent tubes for providing supplemental ventilation and additional structural support to a frame of a building structure. The at least one rafter vent assembly may be an interior rafter vent assembly or an exterior rafter vent assembly. The interior rafter vent assembly has at least one brace member and a connecting member, with the connecting member having a connecting plate, two end plates, and the plurality of vent tubes. The exterior rafter vent assembly has the connecting member that has a connecting plate and the plurality of vent tubes. The framing assembly also preferably has a plurality of modified structural insulated panels (SIPs) and modified rafter splines.
Multi-purpose structural panels and systems for assembling structures
The present invention is directed to a multi-purpose panel member which may be utilized as any surface or support beam in a structure. In a preferred embodiment, the panel may be extruded monolithically from aluminum. Also disclosed are systems for assembling structures from the panels utilizing a plurality of other components, which are also preferably extruded from aluminum.
Shooting Stalls and Ranges Including Air Permeable Barrier
A shooting stall includes a first wall, a second wall, and an air permeable barrier. The first wall includes an upstream end, a downstream end, and a side surface that extends between the upstream end and the downstream end. The second wall is disposed substantially parallel to the first wall, and the second wall includes an upstream end, a downstream end, and a side surface facing the first wall that extends between the upstream end and the downstream end. The air permeable member is disposed between the first wall and the second wall.
Pre-fabricated construction panels
A pre-fabricated construction panel for use on an external surface and/or as part of a budding or construction is provided. The panel comprises at least a first layer which is at least partially provided from thermally insulating material having a first surface, the panel comprising at least a second layer, the at least second layer being provided from fiber cement board, the second layer having a second surface facing the first surface. The first surface is profiled having recessed surface zones and heightened surface zones, the first and second layers being connected one to the other at least along the heightened surface zones of the first, the recessed surface zones provides at least one interspace between the first and second surface. This at least one inter-space has at least two openings to the external of the panel for enabling air to flow into and out of the interspace towards the external of the panel. Less than 25% of the total surface of the first surface is connected to, e.g. adheres to, the second surface.
THERMAL SHELL, IN PARTICULAR FOR A BUILDING
The present invention relates to a thermal shell for a building, apt to constitute a multi-layer system formed by three integral elements having, respectively, from the outside towards the inside: an external peripheral wall/casing with the function of thermal insulating wall; an interspace filled with air to be conditioned; an internal wall/casing with the function of heat-radiating wall/casing; comprising: a covering structure (10) positioned around the building (1), or part of said building (1), the covering structure (10) comprising, proceeding from the outside towards the inside of the building (1): a coating (11), an insulating layer (16) and an interspace (12); the interspace (12) containing air and forming a closed and isolated room with respect to the surrounding environment; means (13) of thermal conditioning of the air contained in the interspace, so that the shell defines an internal wall/casing.
VENTED INSULATED ROOF SHEATHING
An integrated roofing product comprising a wood or cellulosic structural or roof sheathing base or core panel with a rigid foam insulation sheet or layer laminated or otherwise attached to the panel's inner face. Shingles and/or other protective material may then be attached to the panel's outer face. A plurality of parallel air channels extend vertically in the rigid foam insulation sheet or layer, providing a pathway for air to pass up and out of the eave space. Some or all of the air channels are disposed on the surface of the foam layer that is laminated or attached to the panel's inner face, so that part of the air channel is formed at the interface. A radiant barrier layer may be placed on the inner face of the rigid foam insulation sheet or layer, or between the foam insulation and the inner face of the roof sheathing base or core panel.
PREFABRICATED WALL PANEL, MANUFACTURING METHOD AND STRUCTURAL SYSTEM
A prefabricated wall panel defines a panel plane and a peripheral edge includes a plurality of material layers parallel to the panel plane and superimposed on one another, including a load-bearing layer made of reinforced cement, a protective layer distanced from the load-bearing layer, and a heat-insulating layer formed on a side of the load-bearing layer opposite to the protective layer. An air circulation gap is formed between two layers of the material layers so as to separate the two layers from each other. The air circulation gap is open on the entire peripheral edge. A plurality of spacer connectors extends in a direction transversal to the panel plane through the air circulation gap, each spacer connector having a first anchoring end fixed in the protective layer and a second anchoring end fixed in the load-bearing layer.
Modular thermal panels for building shells and methods of assembling and disassembling thereof
A shell system for a building, facilitating internal bottom-up flow of air inside the shell system, the shell system includes a plurality of modular thermal panels, and connecting means for interconnecting the plurality of modular thermal panels or a portion thereof Each of the modular thermal panel includes an enclosed frame having two side faces, a top face and a bottom face, wherein two openings are formed in the frame's faces: a sealingly enclosed internal face and a sealingly enclosed external fac wherein an inner gap, filled with air, is formed between the internal face and the external face. At least one frame-opening is formed in each of the faces of the frame, allowing air to flow between adjacent modular thermal panels, that are sealingly interconnected, while allowing the inner air flow.
