Modular Floor Platform
20170370100 · 2017-12-28 ·

A modular floor platform includes a floor made of a plurality of individual composite floor panels interconnected by tongue and groove joints. The individual composite floor panels have a foam core and a rigid cover over the foam core. A frame attaches the floor panels together along a perimeter of the floor. Legs beneath the frame and upwardly support the floor.

Glazing

Glazings comprising first and second channel-section glazing elements are described. The first and second channel-section glazing elements are arranged to define a cavity in which is located an inner glazing element comprising a glass glazing element, in particular a soda-lime-silica glass sheet, channel-section glazing element or sheet of rolled glass having at least one fire polished edge. The inner glazing element divides the cavity into at least two spaces to improve the thermal and/or noise performance of the glazing. By using low emissivity coatings on one or more major surfaces of one or more of the glazing elements, the thermal performance may be further improved. Mechanical performance may be modified by the particular type of inner glazing element used. It is possible to retrofit existing glazings to improve the thermal and/or noise performance thereof.

Method for making a composite panel, preferably cementitious mortar based, with light translucency properties

The present invention relates to a method for making a composite panel comprising a pourable and settable base material, preferably cementitious mortar, and a plurality of through elements (10) made of glass for transmitting light between two base surfaces (1,1′) of the panel (1). The method includes making a semi-finished product comprising a central body (50) which incorporates the through elements (10), which emerge from two mutually opposite main surfaces (51,52). In particular, the method includes making the semi-finished product by defining two containing frames, mutually opposite with respect to the body, each of which emerges from one of the central surfaces. The method includes closing the semi-finished product between two containing elements so as to define two half-spaces, each of which at least partially delimited by said containing frames. The method then includes filling each half-space with cementitious mortar and removing the manufactured item which is made, after the mortar has set. Finally, the method includes finishing such a manufactured item by eliminating the containing frames from the semi-finished product, the body of which remains incorporated in the structure of the panel.

Multiwall sheet and methods of using the same

In one embodiment, a multiwall sheet can comprise: a first wall; a second wall; an intermediate wall disposed between the first wall and the second wall; a first set of ribs disposed between the first wall and the intermediate wall; a second set of ribs disposed between the second wall and the intermediate wall; a cavity disposed between adjacent ribs; wherein the multiwall sheet is configured to expand and/or collapse when a mechanical force (preferably shear force) is applied to the intermediate wall. Preferably the multiwall sheet has a flexural rigidity of greater than or equal to 10 N/mm.

FLEXIBLE INSULATING SHEET

The present invention is a twin-wall rigid plastic sheet intended to provide protection and insulation in applications where a small bending radius for the twin-wall plastic sheet is desired. The twin-wall configuration includes a smooth or flat outer single sheet and a contoured inner single sheet separated by a series of similar plastic ribs to form a connected row of longitudinal cavities or channels. The inner wall is contoured in a concave manner to form a relief between each rib. When the twin-wall sheet is flexed, each relief distorts to minimize stress in the transverse direction while maintaining high rigidity in the longitudinal direction. In another embodiment of the present invention, multiple single sheets separated by ribs and contoured similarly to that of the inner wall are added between the contoured inner wall and smooth outer wall.

The invention relates to a component (1) for installing a room closing element made of hollow glass blocks (2, 3) using mortar or concrete and a suitable reinforcement. The component (1) according to the invention consists of two hollow glass blocks (2, 3), which are designed identically and preferably lie one next to the other, with an intermediate spacer (4) which seals the intermediate space between the glass blocks (2, 3) and is preferably assembled from multiple spacers (5, 5b, 5c) designed as hollow bodies that are separated from one another by intermediate films (6a, 6b) with coatings (7a, 7b). The component (1) is characterized by a comparatively large structural depth which ensures very good insulation values despite the small surface area of the glass blocks (2, 3). The structural depth also increases the geometrical moment of inertia with respect to bending, said moment of inertia allowing for large proportions of insulating mortar/concrete and components with large dimensions.
