Mechanical couplings for reinforcing bars
There is disclosed a mechanical coupling for two rebars. The coupling includes a first extremity disposed on a first of the two rebars, and a second extremity disposed on a second of the two rebars. Each of the first and second extremities are machined to effect an interlocking, form-fit connection between the two rebars, wherein the form-fit connection prevents separation of the extremities and inhibits axial displacement of the two rebars with respect to each other. The coupling further includes a covering disposed about the two extremities when the extremities are interconnected via the interlocking, form-fit connection. Also disclosed and described is a related method.
Rebar tying tool and electric work machine
A rebar tying tool (2; 302; 402) include a feed mechanism (24), which includes a first motor (32; 304) and feeds a wire (W), and a twisting mechanism, which includes a second motor (76; 306) and twists together one or more portions of the wire. A control unit (202; 350) controls the first motor and the second motor and includes a general-purpose I/O port (202c; 350c) and a motor-control-signal output port (202a; 350a). A motor-control-signal-output-destination-switching circuit (204; 310; 406) inputs motor-control signals (UH, VH, WH, UL, VL, WL) from the control unit via the motor-control-signal output port and selectively outputs the inputted motor-control signals to either the first motor or the second motor in response to input of a switching signal (SW).
Tool for the in situ construction of a sandwich wall, and method applying same
A tooling for manufacturing a wall with two concrete walls, between which at least one insulation panel is trapped includes at least one system for positioning the insulation panel composed, on one hand of a dagger having a rod provided with a bearing stop and, on the other hand, of a lock provided with a counter-stop. The lock has at least two notches for receiving a first reinforcement, arranged locally on the circumference of the positioning system, extending set back from a first end of the rod, delimited on either side by retaining stops spaced apart so as to maintain in position the first reinforcement, and defines a housing with a profile converging in the opposite direction to their opening, and arranged according to the length of the positioning system to be able to adjust the position of the first reinforcement according to the length of the positioning system.

Composite conduit formwork structure and method of fabrication
The disclosure presents a composite conduit formwork structure which includes a cylindrical outer casing adapted to bond with a cylindrical inner casing which are maintained at a fixed distance apart by a plurality of radial stanchions. The inner casing and outer casing form an interior void which is filled with concrete during manufacture. The outer casing and inner casing remain in place to protect the structure once completed. A novel method of assembly is also provided whereby radial stanchions are rotated between the outer casing and inner casing. All of the components in a preferred embodiment are formed of a fiberglass material.
CONCRETE SLAB ATTACHMENT DEVICE
An attachment device attaches adjacent first and second concrete pieces to one another along corresponding first and second interfacing side surfaces thereof, thereby forming a concrete piece attachment arrangement. The device includes an elongate base member having opposed first and second portions, and first and second lateral members securing to and respectively extending substantially perpendicularly from first and second ends of the base member. The first and second portions of the base member extend within first and second recesses respectively formed into the concrete pieces, in a direction generally perpendicular to the first and second interfacing side surfaces. The first and second lateral member respectively extend through bore holes extending through the first and second concrete pieces and connecting with the respective first and second recesses. A method for attaching the concrete pieces to one another with an attachment piece is also described.
Formwork brace
In summary the invention described herein is broadly directed to a module for forming a reinforced concrete structure comprising (a) a formwork member that defines a cavity, (b) a reinforcement structure in the cavity, and (c) at least one formwork brace interconnecting the formwork member and the reinforcement structure.
TIE HOOP UNTYING PREVENTION DEVICE
A tie hoop untying prevention device of the present invention may comprise: a body part provided in a shape of surrounding the outer side surface and the upper and lower surfaces of a tie hoop and coupled to the tie hoop; a pair of extension parts provided at opposite ends of the body part, respectively, and formed in directions different from each other; separation preventing parts provided on both side surfaces of the body part, respectively, to prevent separation of the tie hoop; and a tying part provided at each of the corners of the body part to prevent vertical and outward movements of the tie hoop when being coupled to the tie hoop.
VARIABLE ASSEMBLY PC MEMBER
A variable assembly PC member includes: a plurality of hollow PC modules, each of which has an upper flange and a lower flange spaced apart from each other, and a pair of webs connecting both ends of the upper flange and the lower flange to form a hollow therein; and connectors connecting the plurality of hollow PC modules with each other in the width direction.
Protective cap for reinforcement bars
An illustrative example embodiment of a protective cap assembly includes a plurality of protective caps each including a stem and a top plate. The top plates each have a plurality of edges. One of the edges of a first one of the protective caps is connected to an adjacent edge of a second one of the caps in a manner that allows for manually separating the first or second one of the protective caps from the assembly.
