ROOFING PANELS WITH INTEGRATED WATERSHEDDING
Panels with substantially integrated watershedding features may be installed on the roof a house or other structure in lieu of traditional roofing materials. The panels include a body formed from a mixture of filler materials and polymeric binder materials, which can include recycled materials, with watershedding features generally formed with and/or integrated with the panels. The panels also can be installed in overlapping courses along a roof with the watershedding features incorporated along one or more peripheral edges. The watershedding features of adjacent panels further can cooperated to collect and divert water away from the upper surfaces and/or away headlap and/or sidelap joints defined between the panels.
INJECTION-MOLDED ROOF PANEL WITH IMPROVEMENTS
The present disclosure provides a new design for an injection molded roof panel with multiple improvements. The panel is made from PVC-like materials via injection molding with a large standard size. It comprises laterally and longitudinally sloped watercourses and arches. A tongue at the front connects to a vertically adjacent panel's rear upper interlocking member. Interlocks at the lateral ends of the panel connect one panel to another horizontally adjacent panel. Condensed water ridges underneath the panel drain condensation to the panel's front, where it is drained with angled weep holes on the tongue. The upper surface has a non-smooth low-noise texture to prevent slips/falls and reduce noise. The roof panel is secured onto roof sheathing with nail flanges with screw holes/bosses. The design achieves improved water drainage, increased installation security and speed, improved wind resistance, increased personnel safety, reduced noise, lighter weight, lower cost, and improved lifespan.
Roof, siding, or cladding, or ridge or hip member for a roof
A ridge or hip member for a roof comprising a substantially flexible zone and a substantially rigid zone on each side of the flexible zone. The flexible zone adapted to allow the member to be bent by an installer by hand to conform the member to the ridge or hip of a roof, with the flexible zone located along a ridge or hip line of the roof. Each rigid zone being located on each side of the ridge or hip line.
Roof shingle tile and method of installing the same
A novel roof shingle tile and method of installation is presented. The roof shingle may include a first side opposite a second side, a top edge opposite a bottom groove, a top gutter, and a side gutter. The bottom groove may extend along a bottom edge of the tile that includes a bottom edge of the side gutter, and the top edge may include a tongue portion sized to fit within the bottom groove of a vertically adjacent tile. The second side may also include an overhang portion sized to overlap the side gutter of a horizontally adjacent tile. When installed, the shingle tiles may create a water resistant roof surface.
ROOF TILE AND A ROOF COVERING
A roof tile comprising a decorative layer, the decorative layer comprising a ceramic body, and a support layer disposed below the decorative layer, wherein the roof tile comprises an upper edge, a lower edge which is opposite to the upper edge and two opposite side edges, the opposite side edges being transverse to the upper edge, wherein the roof tile comprises at least a first coupling elements configured for being coupled to an adjacent roof tile in a roof covering, and wherein the first coupling elements are provided at least at one side edge of the roof tile.
Roofing tile and method for producing such a roofing tile
A roofing tile composed of concrete material and a method for producing such a roofing tile. The concrete material contains a binder, a gravel, a light-weight aggregate, and added water. The roofing tile has at least one watercourse and a lateral interlocking joint having a covering fold and a water fold. The ratio of water to binder is less than 0.3, the light-weight aggregate is composed of a material that is hydrophobic and/or not hygroscopic, and the roofing tile has a density in the range of 1.6 g/cm.sup.3 to 1.9 g/cm.sup.3 after the hardening. The roofing tile has a thickness of 5 mm to 9 mm, preferably 7 mm to 8 mm, in the highly loaded regions, preferably in the region of the watercourse.
A ROOF TILE CLIP
A roof tile clip (1) for securing a lateral edge (3) of a lower portion of a roof tile (2) to a batten (5), the lower portion of the roof tile (2) rests on an upper portion of a below roof tile (2), which in turn rests on the batten (5), the roof tile clip (1) comprises a hook (6) for hooking over the lateral edge (3) of the roof tile (2), a securing device (7) for securing the clip (1) to the batten (5), and a shaft (8) between the hook (6) and the securing device (7), wherein the securing device comprises a retainer (7) slidable in a longitudinal direction (9) of the batten (5).
A ROOF, SIDING, OR CLADDING, OR RIDGE OR HIP MEMBER FOR A ROOF
A ridge or hip member for a roof comprising a substantially flexible zone and a substantially rigid zone on each side of the flexible zone. The flexible zone adapted to allow the member to be bent by an installer by hand to conform the member to the ridge or hip of a roof, with the flexible zone located along a ridge or hip line of the roof. Each rigid zone being located on each side of the ridge or hip line.
Photovoltaic elements including drainage elements
A photovoltaic element comprising: (a) a photovoltaic assembly; (b) a shingle portion connected to the photovoltaic assembly, the shingle portion including: (i) one or more flexible regions and (ii) one or more attachment regions; wherein the one or more attachment regions connect the photovoltaic element to a structure and the one or more flexible regions are flexed so that all or a portion of the attachment regions are located below the shingle portion; and wherein the one or more flexible regions, the one or more attachment regions, or both include one more drainage elements.
