Method for covering a gap between windows at the ridge of a double pitch skylight, a double pitch skylight, and a cover element for use therein
The invention relates to covering a gap between windows at the ridge of a double pitch skylight including at least one pair of windows. Each window comprises a frame with a frame top member and the windows of a pair are interconnected by one or more mounting brackets at the ridge. A cover element is arranged so that it interconnects the two windows of the pair on the interior side and extends in parallel with the ridge length direction. One edge of the cover element is inserted in a groove in the top frame member of one window of the pair and another opposite edge is inserted in a corresponding groove in the other window. The cover element is preferably made from an airtight material, is preferably convex on the interior side in the mounted state, and is preferably provided with elastic connecting parts at the two opposite edges.
System and method for attaching glass panels to a substructure
A system and method is provided for attaching glass panels to a substructure. Embodiments include a blocking extending along a length of a structural element and attached to a first portion of a surface of the structural element. Flashing covers the blocking, and has a flange extending outward from a lower edge of the blocking to contact a second portion of the surface of the structural element. An elastic flange gasket covers an outer edge of the flange and contacts an inner main surface of a glass panel. A glazing cap extends along the blocking, having an elastic cap gasket for contacting the outer main surface of the glass panel. The glazing cap extends over and attaches to the blocking for retaining the glass panel between the flange gasket and the cap gasket, and for sealing the glass panel, the flange gasket, and the cap gasket.

Roof structure
A roof for a building comprises a ridge beam for defining an upper edge of the roof, and a first eaves beam for defining a lower edge of the roof. The roof further comprises a first panel connectable to both the ridge beam and the eaves beam, being capable of spanning the distance therebetween and extending over at least a first portion of the area of the roof. In addition, the roof comprises one or more retention structures positionable relative to the first panel and one of said beams and configured to clamp said panel against the other of said beams.
Method of assembling panels, elongated rail and rail and cap assembly for assembling panels
A method of assembling panels, an elongated rail, and a rail and cap assembly for assembling panels are disclosed. A one-piece elongated rail comprises a bottom, a pair of sides extending from the bottom, a pair of walls located between the sides and perpendicular to the bottom, and a central channel floor extending between the parallel walls and parallel to the bottom. A central channel is formed between the walls and delimited by the central channel floor. Two lateral channels are each formed between one of the sides and one of the walls. The assembly includes the rail and a cap, the cap having a top and an opposite projection configured for insertion in the central channel of the rail. The rail and the cap may be made by extrusion. The method involves adjoining panels to the rail and mounting the cap thereon.
