Hook and fleece roofing system with rolled up adhesive release layer and method of application

A hook and loop system for attaching a roofing membrane into the top of a building insulation board including a roofing membrane with a fleece backing having a release sheet on the fleece backing. The release sheet is manually removed in the field to attach the fleece backing directly onto a layer of hooks that have been pre-attached onto the top of the insulation board. The release layer may be somewhat sticky, yet not adhere too tightly to the fleece layer such that its removal does not damage the fleece backing. The release layer may also be pre-rolled together with the fleece backed roofing membrane and shipped together as a unit into the field.

REMOVABLE AND RE-ATTACHABLE ROOF SYSTEM FOR MODULAR RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION
20170298614 · 2017-10-19 ·

The present disclosure describes a residential dwelling unit designed for vertical expansion by way of a removable and re-attachable roof system. By removing certain components of the original dwelling unit's roof, that same structure can be converted into the floor of a subsequent vertical addition. Specific components that were removed from the original roof are then re-attached on top of the vertical addition.

System for retrofitting and enhancing the thermal resistance of roofs and walls of buildings

An insulating system for retrofitting the roof and/or walls of a building. The retrofit system includes a first layer of insulating material extending transverse to the purlins, girts and chords and atop the existing roof or wall structure as well as a plurality of longitudinally extending bridge members each with an upper and a lower surface. The system also includes a plurality of orthogonally extending spacer members that compresses the first layer of insulating material proximate to the spacer members and allowing an otherwise uncompressed first insulation layer to span between the spacer members. The system further includes a second layer of insulation extending across the upper surface of the bridge members wherein a plurality of panel clips each with a panel clip tab are disposed atop the second layer of insulation and are fastened to the bridge member and the clip tabs engage with the lateral edges of the roof or wall panels in the formation of a water resistant seam.

Interlocking laminated structural roofing panels

Interlocking laminated structural roofing panels have a lightweight foamed core sandwiched between outer and inner layers of materials such as wood, polymer materials, fire resistant and/or waterproof membranes, and metal layers. At least one layer is a self-gripping metal sheet that grips and bonds mechanically to adjacent layers such as wood layers. A self-gripping metal sheet may be used on both sides of the roofing panels to form a panel that is strong, structurally robust, and able to span between relatively widely spaced roof rafters with little or no mid-span support. Interlocking features along the edges of the panels interlock adjacent panels together to form a strong monolithic roof covering for a roof.

Foam backed panel anchored to a frame

A foam backed panel comprised of a cladding with polyurethane foam is anchored to a frame by an anchor embedded in the foam and straps attaching the anchor to frame members. The anchored frame enables 100% continuous insulation since it eliminates nails and other fasteners that cause thermal bridges. Anchors also increase a panel's uplift resistance and may be used to attach roof panels to trusses. This all results in a stronger, better insulated structure.
