The disclosure relates to a service pit having a head section and a foot section made from fiberglass, aluminum or other metal sheeting, molded plastic, or other suitable material. In one example embodiment, the service pit is equipped with a staircase pivotally mounted at one end of the service pit to accommodate a pivoting action of the staircase and permit access to the bottom of the pit for cleaning, maintenance or other operation.

STAIRS AND PLATFORM SYSTEM FOR MOBILE ELEVATED SHELTER

A shelter includes a body having a wall. A stairs and platform system is connected adjacent the wall of the shelter. The stairs and platform system includes a platform and a stair assembly. The platform includes: (i) first and second spaced-apart side rails and a platform floor located between the first and second side rails; and (ii) first and second platform handrail assemblies respectively located on opposite first and second lateral sides of the platform. The stair assembly is connected to the platform to provide access to the platform and is movable relative to the platform from a first operative position in which the stair assembly projects outwardly away from the platform to a second stowed position in which the stair assembly is retracted relative to the platform and at least part of the stair assembly is supported adjacent the platform. The first and second platform handrail assemblies are each selectively configurable to be in: (i) an operative position in which the first and second platform handrail assemblies project respectively upwardly from the opposite first and second lateral sides of the platform; and (ii) a stowed position in which the first and second platform handrail assemblies engage both the platform and the stair assembly to capture and retain the stair assembly in its stowed position.

Rolling access step

A traveling step structure is mounted to a warehouse rack to allow convenient access to elevated shelves without blocking shelving corridors. A rack track is mounted to a rack between vertical rack members and a support track is fixed to the surface which supports the rack. The traveling step structure has a first frame mounted with followers to the rack track, and a second frame positioned outwardly from the first frame, and connected to the first frame for movement from a retracted position to an extended position. A plurality of steps extend between the first frame and the second frame and are pivotably mounted to both frames. When a user desires to access an elevated rack shelf, the second frame is pulled outwardly and downwardly to bring the steps into a horizontal position. A damper assembly is mounted between the first frame and a step to cushion extension.

Moveable stair systems and methods

The present disclosure relates to stair systems and methods for allowing stair movement between building levels while maintaining the structural integrity of the stair system for safe egress passage. The systems and methods of the present disclosure allow for independent movement of the surrounding building walls, landings, floor slabs, and/or any other portion of the surrounding building structure or stair system. The embodiments of the present disclosure are suitable for use in both new constructions as well as in existing constructions for retrofit applications to allow for movement between levels, landings, or within stairwell structures. The present disclosure reduces stair damage during building movement whether it is from wind, thermal, or seismic activity, and/or any other type of suitable force or experience, as the present disclosure allows for directional movement, or a combination thereof, including tension and compression, lateral, or vertical movement.

ATTIC STAIRS WITH A SUPPORT BEAM
20230304294 · 2023-09-28 · ·

Attic stairs include box, closing hatch for the box and ladder. The ladder is suspended in box using at least one flat bar attached to support beam seated in an upper section of the ladder. The support beam is a profile and each end of the profile has end cap with locking pin locking it in support beam.

HINGE
20230304338 · 2023-09-28 · ·

A hinge is configured for attaching at least two components of a structural element, a fixed component and an articulated component, and is constructed out of assembly hanger designed for mounting the hinge to fixed component, at least one base coupler rotatably attached to assembly hanger, so that, the swivel axle of that attachment runs through top pin, through which base coupler is attached to assembly hanger and assembly hanger includes race for travelling pin, determining the position of the variable swivel axle of articulated component relative to fixed component attached to one another via the hinge.

Retractable staircase
11408180 · 2022-08-09 ·

A retractable staircase having a first side stringer and a second substantially parallel side stringer connected to a plurality of steps. The first side stringer is fixedly attached to a wall and the second side stringer is pivotally movable about the first side stringer between an extended position, where the steps lie substantially horizontally between the stringers, and a retracted position where the steps lie substantially vertically between the stringers. The retractable staircase also includes a collapsible handrail and a gate that are interconnected with the side stringers and the pivoting steps so that when one of them is moved, the other two move substantially simultaneously.

ADJUSTABLE PET STAIR RAMP
20220251848 · 2022-08-11 ·

An adjustable stair ramp includes a pair of risers, a series of treads, and an adjustable support leg. Cross members extend between the two risers. Each cross member has a pivotal brace with a top edge. The adjustable support leg has a main leg portion pivotally coupled to the risers. The main leg portion has an upper portion and a lower portion pivotally coupled to the upper portion. Each tread has bottom surface with a first receiving groove and a second receiving groove configured to receive the top edge of the respective brace. Each tread is pivotally coupled to the risers for pivotal movement between a high step position, a low step position, and a ramp position. The stair ramp is reconfigurable for use as a high stair, a low stair, a high ramp, and a low ramp through the positioning of the support leg and the treads.

Lateral Folding Units
20220104626 · 2022-04-07 ·

A lateral folding step unit and/or desk unit including a vertical frame and a plurality of linkages pivotally attached at different heights to the vertical frame by one end of each of the linkages, to provide lateral rotation to the linkages. A leg frame, with at least one leg, is pivotally attached to the opposite end of each linkage whereby laterally translating the leg frame simultaneously pivots the linkages from a first, vertical position to at least one second, horizontal position. At least one of the linkages has a receiving surface to serve as a step, a shelf and/or as a work surface.
