TEMPORARY STAIR TREADS
20230228095 · 2023-07-20 ·

A temporary stair tread for use in a pan stir comprises a stair tread body, a first biasing member and a second biasing member. The stair tread body has an upper portion, a lower portion, and first and second longitudinal edges. The first biasing member extends outwardly from the first longitudinal edge and is resiliently deformable. The second biasing member extends outwardly from the second longitudinal edge and is resiliently deformable. The temporary stair tread is installable in a pan stair tread recess with the first biasing member resiliently deformed by contact with a first side of the pan stair tread recess and the second biasing member resiliently deformed by contact with a second side of the pan stair recess to generate a retention force securing the temporary stair tread in place.

STEP FOR A MODULAR STAIRCASE AND RELATIVE BUILDING METHOD
20220381037 · 2022-12-01 ·

A step for building a staircase, which includes: a base frame provided with a flat support surface configured to be laid and fixed on a ground, a footboard provided with a flat walkable surface, which is hinged to the base frame according to a hinging axis parallel to the walkable surface and to the support surface of the base frame, and a locking arrangement to lock the footboard with respect to the base frame in a plurality of different angular positions around the hinging axis.

Method for bending a vinyl floor plank to form a stair nose plank
11572695 · 2023-02-07 ·

A method for bending a vinyl floor plank to form a stair nose plank. A first bending gap is established between two blending blocks and a second bend gap is established between two second bending blocks. Heat is applied to a vinyl floor plank along a first bend location. The vinyl floor plank is then placed into the first bend gap. A user presses downward on the vinyl floor plank to form a first right angle bend. Heat is applied to a vinyl floor plank along a second bend location. The vinyl floor plank is then placed into the second bend gap. The user presses downward on the vinyl floor plank to form a second right angle bend. The first right angle bend and the second right angle bend combine to form a U-shaped bend to form a stair nose plank. In a preferred embodiment the stair nose plank includes a locking mechanism along its edges. In a preferred embodiment heat is applied by utilization of an acrylic bending machine.

Floating Modular Stair System

A floating modular stair system includes a wall mounting plate that is attachable to a vertical wall, and a base mounting plate that is anchorable to a horizontal floor. A monostringer beam is attachable to the wall mounting plate and to the base mounting plate. The monostringer beam includes an integrated hook attachment for variable angle adjustment and attachment to the wall mounting plate. Stair tread brackets are attachable to the monostringer beam for equal spacing of stair treads after installation of the monostringer beam to the wall mounting plate and to the base mounting plate. Each of the stair tread brackets are also designed for individual variable angle adjustment and leveling after attachment to the monostringer beam, and the stair tread brackets are rotatable through an adjustable anchor point about a fixed pivot anchor point to level the stair treads of the floating modular stair system.

Energy-efficient assistive stairs

In a method for recycling energy from stairs, a step platform is moveable between an upper and lower position. An energy storage device, coupled to the platform, stores energy when a downward force is applied thereto, causing the step platform to move to the lower position. The energy storage device (also releases stored energy as the step platform moves from to the upper position. A controllable locking mechanism (locks the step platform in the lower position when the downward force has caused the step platform to move into the lower position. A sensor determines when a downward force has been applied to the next higher step platform. A controller signals the controllable locking mechanism to unlock the step platform when the step platform is in the lower position, and when the downward force has been applied to the next higher step platform.
