Pressure equalized rainscreen systems and methods
11613896 · 2023-03-28 ·

Systems and methods for a pressure equalized rainscreen (PER) and for mounting the same to a building. A PER system includes a panel disposed over an exterior wall that defines a cavity adjacent to the building for pressure equalization. Moisture is drained out of the cavity via a first opening(s), and air flows into and out of the cavity for pressure equalization via a second opening(s). The panel is configured to hinder flowing air via the first opening(s) and hinder draining moisture via the second opening(s). The PER system is mounted using a plurality of mounting strips that demarcate wall portions corresponding to panels for covering those wall portions. Each panel is movably engaged with a mounting strip for support and to allow deformation of the panel once fastened to the exterior wall.

PANEL FOR ATTACHMENT TO A MOUNTING SURFACE OF A BUILDING STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME

A panel is configured for attachment to a mounting surface of a building structure. The panel includes a first end surface and a second end surface, spaced from each other along a longitudinal axis; a top edge surface and a bottom edge surface, spaced from each other and offset from the longitudinal axis; and an inner surface and an outer surface, opposed to each other and extending from the first end surface and the second end surface. The inner surface includes a contact portion and a contour portion. The contact portion is disposed on a reference plane. The contour portion is contoured toward the outer surface, away from the reference plane, such that the contour portion defines a channel. The channel extends along at least a portion of a length of the panel, between the first end surface and the second end surface.

VENTILATION MEMBER AND SYSTEMS INCORPORATING THE SAME

A ventilation member includes a base panel for mounting onto a substrate, an upper panel extending transversely from the base panel, a lower panel spaced apart from the upper panel, and an inner panel extending transversely from the lower panel. A passageway is defined having a first portion defined between the base panel and the inner panel and a second portion extending transversely from the first portion and being defined between the upper and the lower panel. When used as part of a system, the ventilation member may be an upper ventilation member and the system may include a second lower ventilation member including a base panel and a leg extending transversely thereof.

Wall sheathing system

A sheathed building uses corrugated hat-channel furring channels to attach metal panels to an underlying wall structure in a semi-floating manner. The corrugated furring channels are attached to backsides of the metal panels using high-bond-strength tape, and the corrugated furring channels are “hooked” onto corrugated flanges of rail brackets that have been attached to the wall structure to secure the metal panels to the building. Using tape instead of conventional fasteners (e.g., screws or nails) reduces penetrations through the panels and reduces moisture behind the panels. The corrugations facilitate drainage of moisture from behind the panels and drying air circulation. In other embodiments such as a clapboard arrangement of metal panels, rail brackets are not used, and the corrugated furring channels are used to mount the panels in overlapping fashion with no fasteners penetrating through the panels.

Clip attachment for panel system

A panel system consisting of a panel having a repetitive pattern of aligned peaks and valleys, a series of ledges associated with the valleys and configured such that at least a portion of each ledge extends beyond adjacent peaks, and a plurality of clips, wherein each clip is attachable to a ledge and is further configured to attach to and support a product.

Modular structural louver and methods of use

Disclosed are methods and apparatus for providing pre-assembled modular structural louvered systems that include structural supports and louvers, and may also include dampers, actuators and wiring in pre-assembled modules that may be transported to a building site, tilted up into place, and installed. Embodiments of the present invention also provide methods and apparatus for providing pre-assembled modular structural louvered systems which include integrated vertical and horizontal structural supports, allowing for the elimination of some vertical and horizontal wall structures in a building by relying on the structural support provided in the modular louvered systems, thereby making more space available in the building for louvers and airflow.

Below top of wall ventilation screed device and assembly

A ventilation screed comprising: an attachment flange having a top portion and a bottom portion; a drip edge protruding from the attachment flange and a return leg that protrudes back from the drip edge, wherein the drip edge is angled downward in a first direction and the return leg is angled downward in a second direction; a drainage cavity protrusion protruding from the attachment flange above the drip edge, wherein the drainage cavity protrusion has an L-shaped drainage trough portion having at least one drainage opening in a bottom portion and a substantially vertical portion with a top end and a bottom end in communication with the bottom portion, an upper ground portion in communication with the top end of the substantially vertical portion of the L-shaped drainage trough portion extending outward from the substantially vertical portion and a drainage cavity shroud extending substantially downward from the upper ground portion.

VENTILATED FAÇADE SYSTEM WITH SELF-SUPPORTING METAL PANELS
20230135698 · 2023-05-04 ·

The invention relates to a ventilated façade system with self-supporting metal panels comprising: a series of metal panels provided with horizontal edges provided with eyelets, and vertical edges; support clamps and fixing clamps, where the clamps are used for fixing to the façades and as a means of spacing the metal panels from the wall so as to increase the air chamber that generates a chimney effect in the ventilated façade, where the support clamps have two vertical sections that can be accommodated in the eyelets and where said vertical sections are covered by a rubber or similar for vibration and noise absorption.

The ventilated façade system involves lower costs, is easier to assemble and can be installed on existing façades or buildings under renovation, achieving benefits in terms of insulation, energy savings and the disappearance of problems of moisture.

FACADE ASSEMBLY, BUILDING STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING THE FACADE ASSEMBLY

In a facade assembly (14) for a building (10) with at least one facade element (16), which can be fastened to a wall or an inter-story ceiling (12) of the building (10), and with at least one fire-protection element (18), which can be mounted between the facade element (16) and the wall or the inter-story ceiling (12), the fire-protection element (18) has at least one fire-protection course (32) of an intumescent material.

Furthermore, a method for mounting such a facade assembly is provided, as is a building structure using the facade assembly.
