WALL PANELING SYSTEM
20230021420 · 2023-01-26 ·

The present invention provides a wall paneling system that is completely mechanical and does not require the use of adhesives in attaching panels to the walls. The system comprises wall panels having a core with a decorative surface attached to one side and profiled edges that connect to each other by push click, panel connector clips (PCCs) that further connect and secure the interconnecting panels to the walls; and corner moldings for use in paneling adjoining walls meeting at a corner via tongue and groove. The PCCs and corner moldings attach to the walls by mechanical fastening and provide an air space between the walls and the wall panels. Since the wall panels are not directly connected or adhered to the wall, the system allows the panels to be easily replaced by removing and inserting from the PCCs and corner moldings. By using specially adapted bottom seals, seals in the corner moldings and sealant between the panels, the paneling system can be made impermeable to water and is therefore especially useful in area wet areas such as bathrooms.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SEALS BETWEEN ADJACENT BUILDING PANELS

Example embodiments of the described technology provide an assembly for providing a seal at a gap defined between opposed surfaces of adjacent building panels. In some embodiments the assembly comprises backer rods and foam tapes extending in a longitudinal direction and spaced apart in a transverse direction. Sealants are applied to the backer rods to provide a seal between surfaces of the adjacent building panels.

WALL MATERIAL AND WALL-MATERIAL BUILDING STRUCTURE

[Object] To provide a wall material and a wall-material building structure that are suitable for achieving high water resistance in the wall-material building structure.

[Solution] A wall material X of the present invention has a surface-side joint portion 10 and a rear-side joint portion 20. A first resin film 31 is provided on at least one of an end surface 11a of the surface-side joint portion 10 and an end surface 21 of the rear-side joint portion 20. A second resin film 32 is provided on at least one of an extension surface 11b and an extension surface 22b. At a splice part where the surface-side joint portion 10 of one wall material X and the rear-side joint portion 20 of another wall material X are spliced together in a first direction D1, the end surfaces 11a and 21 and the first resin film 31 are disposed such that the end surfaces 11a and 21 face each other while a gap between the end surfaces 11a and 21 is filled with at least the first resin film 31, and the extension surfaces 11b and 22b and the second resin film 32 are disposed such that the extension surfaces 11b and 22b face each other while a gap between the extension surfaces 11b and 22b is filled with at least the second resin film 32. A wall-material building structure Y of the present invention is formed by using such a wall material X.
