A system and method of a modular floor assembly and installation on an aircraft is presented in embodiments herein. A floor assembly comprising an underlayment layer and a decorative layer may be assembled to provide an aircraft floor that meets Federal Aviation Regulations. The floor assembly may comprise structural, adhesive, and magnetic layers creating a floor assembly that may be quickly and easily removable for maintenance and access to compartments below the floor assembly.
Linkable Tiles for Covering a Surface
Various embodiments of tiles or devices that are used to create a structure used to cover a floor other surface are described. Preferred tiles or devices comprise one or more magnetized surfaces that may comprise one or more magnets or ferrous material. The magnetized surfaces can be used to magnetically couple adjacent tiles or devices to form the flooring or other structure. In some embodiments, the tiles or device may comprise one or more routed edges.

Magnetic perimeter attachment for an aircraft flooring section
A magnetic perimeter attachment for an interior space of a vehicle, such as an aircraft or other such vehicle. The vehicle flooring section includes a magnetic tape attached to the structural floor of a vehicle and a spacer panel magnetically coupled to the magnetic tape, where the spacer panel is located on the perimeter of the vehicle flooring section. The magnetic tape includes a carrier layer having an acrylic or rubber adhesive material, which is for bonding to a structural floor panel of the vehicle. The tape also includes a magnetic material deposited in the carrier layer. The magnetic material and the adhesive material are located on opposite sides of the carrier layer.
FLOOR PANEL HAVING MAGNETIC ADHESION, AND FLOOR COVERING
A floor panel (2) of a floor covering (1), which forms a walkable surface (1.1) of the floor covering (1) by laterally placing several floor panels (2) on top of each other, has the dimensions length and width, and a magnetic layer (4) is arranged on an underside (2.2) of the floor panel (2). The magnetic layer (4) extends over at least 90% of each of the two dimensions length and width of the underside (2.2) of the floor panel (2) at least partially and covers at least a total area of 25% of the underside (2.2), preferably at least 50%, and particularly preferably at least 85%.
A floor covering (1) is formed by a floor panel (2) and a magnetic support (5).
Floor Mat Having Reduced Tuft Profile
This invention relates to a floor mat having reduced tuft profile on the backside of the textile component of the floor mat. The floor mat is comprised of a textile component and a base component. The textile component includes face yarn tufted through a primary backing layer. The reduced tuft profile is present on the backside of the textile component. Advantages of a floor mat with reduced tuft profile include improved uniformity of the secondary backing layer applied to the textile component and improved durability of the textile component.
MAGNETIC COMPOSITION, COVERING COMPRISING IT AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Composition for making magnetic coverings comprising at least one elastomer, at least one magnetic filler, at least one compatibilizer, wherein the at least one magnetic filler is present in the composition in an amount comprised between 90% and 300% by weight, preferably between 100% and 250% by weight based on the weight of the least one elastomer.
Floor mat with hidden base component
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.

This invention relates to a washable multi-component floor mat. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by at least one surface attraction means and at least one edge attachment means. The system includes isotropic magnetized floor covering units and anisotropic magnetized underlays for securing surface covering units. The system includes a set of formulations including ferrites and rare earth materials, oils and plasticizer and binding agents to optimize performance to meet design and application criteria.
