A floor element includes a decorative top layer on a polymer substrate. The sides of the floor element have a profile along a section with a surface at right angles to the decorative top layer. The floor panel is provided with a water-repellent coating on at least one side. For each side and along the entire length of the side, at least a part of the profile is coated with a water-repellent coating.

A method to produce a veneer element, including defects and dense portions. The method includes providing a substrate, providing a sub-layer, including a binder and coloured filler particles, applying the sub-layer on a first surface of the substrate, applying a veneer layer on the sub-layer, and applying pressure, preferably heat and pressure, to the veneer layer and/or the substrate, thereby forming a veneer element wherein, after pressing, the sub-layer is visible through a defect of the veneer element such as crack, cavity, hole and/or knot of the veneer layer. A plurality of at least two modular flooring tiles coupled together to form an upper surface defined by an outer perimeter is disclosed. The present invention describes a floor decoration kit comprising two elements, on the one hand a removable surface covering (2) and on the other an anchoring sublayer (3) while the composition of said anchoring sublayer (3) is PVC-based and comprises at least 60% by weight of a plasticizer.

In an aspect a method of manufacturing an acoustic floor panel is described. The method may include: combining a binding agent with plastic flakes; passing the plastic flakes and the binding agent to a lamination machine; applying a force to the binding agent and the plastic flakes using the lamination machine to create a plastic sheet; cutting the plastic sheet; and adding an acoustic insulator to at least a first side of the plastic sheet.

A new athletic floor resiliently retrofit to a worn athletic floor having a supporting sleeper connected to a ground substrate.
