ARCHITECTURAL FLOORING UNDERLAYMENT
A fibrous structure having one or more vertically lapped layers having a first surface and a second surface and a facing layer secured to the first surface of the vertically lapped layer. The fibrous structure is adapted to be used in a flooring assembly. The fibrous structure may include a mesh and/or a backing layer on the second surface of a vertically lapped layer. The fibrous structure exhibits improved performance in below room testing and/or in-room testing as compared with traditional materials of the same thickness.
UNDERLAYMENT
A composite comprising a core, a first cover layer and a second cover layer, wherein the core is provided from an uncut flat body, wherein the core is a three dimensional structure having a first main surface and a second main surface, the first cover layer is in contact with the first main surface creating multiple contact areas and the second cover layer is in contact with the second main surface creating multiple contact areas, wherein the multiple contact areas between the first cover layer and the first main surface are offset in x-direction and y-direction to the multiple contact areas between the second cover layer and the second main surface, characterized in that the first cover layer and the second cover layer are different.
VERTICALLY LAPPED FIBROUS FLOORING
A flooring assembly (10) comprising at least one vertically lapped fibrous material layer (14), at least one pressure sensitive adhesive layer (12a) including a flexible substrate (12b), a mesh (12c) and an adhesive (12d) located along the flexible substrate, and at least one moisture impermeable membrane layer (16).
Membrane
The membrane is for use with a planar surface and includes a generally planar member and a plurality of resilient tabs. The generally planar member, in use, is disposed in parallel relation to and adjacent the planar surface and, at least in use, defines a plurality of troughs, the troughs being interconnected to define a planar network of troughs that is disposed parallel to the surface, each trough presenting away from the surface in use and terminating in a common plane that is parallel to and spaced from the surface. The tabs are provided for each of one or more of the troughs, the tab lying in the common plane and spanning at least in part across said each trough.
UNCOUPLING MAT
An uncoupling mat includes an uncoupling layer; a layer of adhesive underlying the uncoupling layer, the adhesive layer having a subfloor-bonding surface; and an entangled filament sheet overlying the uncoupling layer, the entangled filament sheet being a resilient three-dimensional web of extruded polymer monofilaments, the polymer monofilaments being heat welded at junctions to form an open network of tangled monofilament.
DECOUPLING MAT FOR A SURFACE COVERING STRUCTURE THAT CAN BE COVERED BY COVERING ELEMENTS
A decoupling mat (1) for a surface covering structure that can be covered by covering elements has a strip- or plate-shaped compensation element (2) which has upwardly projecting formations (4) arising from a lower support plane (3), which formations from an upper covering plane (6) at a distance from the lower support plane (3) and are arranged spaced apart from one another and have at least in sections an undercut (8) along their periphery. A water-permeable cover is fixed on a bottom side (12) of the lower support plane (3) and prevents penetration by a viscous adhesive into the upwardly projection formations (4). On at least some formations (4), the undercuts (8) are arranged along a region, extending in a curved manner, along a side wall of the upwardly projecting formations. A plurality of the first undercuts (8) is oriented in a first direction and a plurality of second undercuts (8) is oriented in a second direction. The cover may have a perforation or consist of a water permeable textile woven fabric or sheet, or of a water permeable non-woven fabric (13). A plurality of adjacent formations (4) are respectively connected to one another by ventilation ducts (7) projecting from the lower support plane (3), wherein the ventilation ducts (7) do not extend up to the upper covering plane (6).
SEPARATING MEMBRANE WITH IMPROVED ADHESION AND PROCESS FOR OBTAINING IT
Separating membrane (10) of plastic material, made up of a bossed and waterproof sheet (100) which is coupled with a permeable base layer (101); the bosses (102) are of the cylindrical type with a double diameter (D1, D2) and have such a shape and arrangement as to feature improved adhesion on both faces (110-111). The invention increases the gripping of the adhesive in order to obtain greater tear strength, on the upper face, and at the same time increases the area of contact with the base layer for a greater resistance to delamination on the lower face. In particular, inside each chamber (103) there is an internal crown (104), which divides it like a necking (D2) into two superimposed compartments (105-6) having the same diameter (D1), wherein the first compartment has a depth (H1) amounting to at least ⅓ of the total (H). The invention also relates to the production process for obtaining said membrane (10).
Uncoupling Mat with Heating Elements
An uncoupling mat includes a flexible layer made of a film-like plastic with structuring that defines indentations provided with undercuts on a first, top side and a series of annular cavities formed on an opposite second, bottom side. The annular cavities on the bottom side each define a recess on the first side. The indentations have a cross-section adapted to receive a heating cable therein such that the cable can be held in position by the indentations. A plurality of weakening zones each extends between two rows of annular cavities in a straight line to allow the plastic layer to move substantially transversely to the direction of extension of the weakening zones.
Underlay mat for floor coverings
An underlay mat (10) for floor coverings, includes a polyurethane layer (14), a self-adhesive film (20) on the topside of the polyurethane layer (14) and which includes a carrier film (12), a layer of adhesive (22) applied to carrier film (12), and a mesh structure (24) made of fibers which is embedded in the adhesive layer (22), and a removable protective film (26) on the topside of self-adhesive film (20).
