The present invention entails a rooftop exhaust system for a building. The exhaust system includes a motor that is configured to directly drive a fan. The fan during the course of operation generates a negative pressure on the upstream side of the fan. This negative pressure is utilized to induce outside cooling air into a shroud that partially encloses the motor. Cooling air passing through the shroud contacts the motor and heat associated with the motor is transferred to the cooling air after which the cooling air exits the shroud.

A roof vent for a contoured metal surface. The roof vent includes a base or foot having one or more recessed channels that extend between opposing edges of the foot. The recessed channels are sized and shaped to receive correspondingly shaped ridges of the contoured metal roof surface.

The present invention relates to a cover assembly for a drain and vent pipe. The cover assembly comprises an attaching component, a slide latch, a screen wire, a gasket and multiple tooth configuration. The attaching component is positioned between the screen wire and the slide latch. The screen wire is detachable from the attaching component, thereby enabling easy cleaning and replacement of the screen wire. The slide latch includes the gasket made of silicone rubber, which is extruded into a mold into which the multiple tooth are placed. The multiple tooth grips to an outer surface of the drain or vent pipe, and prevents the cover assembly from sliding off during use. The slide latch is attached to the attaching component at one end and to an outer surface of the drain or vent pipe on the other end.

An ornamental support member for supporting a decorative ornament on the roof pipe of a house for improving the outward appearance of the house. The ornamental support member is in the form of an outer elongated truncated cone-shaped component attached to an inner cylindrically shaped component spaced therefrom with air permeable discs secured at opposite ends of said ornamental support member for allowing the passage of undesired gases into the atmosphere.

The first skid and the second skid each have a length that terminates in a top end and a bottom end, each of the first skid and the second skid being tapered such that the bottom end of each of the first and the second skids has a height greater than the top end, the first and the second skids being selectively attached to the roof to bridge the corrugated ribs and the taper being of a gradation to permit attachment of the roof flashing to the roof curb and passage of the substantially vertical chimney therethrough, the roof curb being discrete from the roof flashing.
