A stair transport device (1) having a planar top platform (2), two legs (3) connected to a front end (17) on each side (20) and a cross bar (4) with T-ends (23) connecting the two legs. Each leg has two sections (3a & 3b) slidably connected with apertures into which a pin can be inserted to adjust the height thereof. The back end (18) end of the top platform can be placed over a top stair of a plurality of stairs to provide a horizontal platform level with the guide wheels (10) of a gurney (8) for transport of medical patients and other items.

In one embodiment of the present disclosure, a handrail system for a ramp assembly, the handrail system includes first and second handrail posts oriented substantially perpendicular to a ground surface, a handrail portion having first and second ends extending between the first and second handrail posts, wherein the handrail portion is substantially parallel to a ramping surface ramping from a first elevation to a second elevation at a grade, and first and second interfaces at the first and second ends of the handrail portion for interfacing with the first and second handrail posts. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, an adaptor is configured for a handrail portion.

A system for providing a pet ladder, and more specifically, to a system for providing a dog ladder for use in of a body of water that may fold out of the water when not in use. is disclosed. The waterside dog ladder is typically attached to a pier, dock, seawall or similar waterside structure that abuts a body of water. The dog ladder has a platform and a plurality of ladder sections. The length of the multiple ladder sections when connected end to end permits the dog ladder to extend from the platform to the water bottom. The dog ladder folds into a retracted position to completely remove the multiple sections from the water when not in use. The ladder is a positive-stop ladder so that each section folds until it hits a stop and provides a firm and solid footing for the dog at a predefined angle that the dog can manage. The rigid and solid feel makes the dog confident and relaxed when exiting the water.

A foldable wheelchair ramp with high stability comprises a wheelchair board which is composed of a left access board and a right access board, the left and right access boards being hinged by a plurality of hinge devices; the left access board is composed of a plurality of left folding boards; the right access board is composed of a plurality of right folding boards; the left folding boards are hinged by the folding devices, and the right folding boards are hinged by the folding devices; the folding devices are connected with the matching supporting devices; the left folding board and the right folding board are both provided with an attachment board at the frontmost end. A ramp system which may include first and second components. The first component may include horizontal and vertical portions, and a hook. The horizontal portion may be supported by a lip of a structure, and may have a width equivalent to a length of the lip. The vertical portion may be coupled with, and hang downward from, the horizontal portion, and may have the same width as the horizontal portion. The hook may be coupled with the vertical portion, and may have the same width as the horizontal portion. The second component may include a protrusion and channel. The protrusion may have a width equal or less than the width of the horizontal portion, and be supported by the hook. The channel may be coupled with the protrusion, and have the same width. The channel may receive a planar component which forms a sloped surface of a ramp.

An adjustable stair ramp includes a pair of risers, a series of treads, and an adjustable support leg. Cross members extend between the two risers. Each cross member has a pivotal brace with a top edge. The adjustable support leg has a main leg portion pivotally coupled to the risers. The main leg portion has an upper portion and a lower portion pivotally coupled to the upper portion. Each tread has bottom surface with a first receiving groove and a second receiving groove configured to receive the top edge of the respective brace. Each tread is pivotally coupled to the risers for pivotal movement between a high step position, a low step position, and a ramp position. The stair ramp is reconfigurable for use as a high stair, a low stair, a high ramp, and a low ramp through the positioning of the support leg and the treads.

A ramp transportation system for a wheelchair enables transportation, deployment, and retrieval of a portable ramp by a single wheelchair occupant in the absence of external aid. The device comprises: a platform, configured to support the width of a wheelchair for crossing the platform, having a sufficient stiffness to support a wheelchair and occupant load; a lifting mechanism interface in the platform, disposed at least near each end of the ramp, configured to support cantilever lifting forces on the ramp; a lifting element, configured to engage the lifting mechanism interface and to apply a force to raise and lower the platform between a raised, stowed position and a lowered position, suitable for traversal; and a motor, configured to supply sufficient force on the lifting element to raise and lower the platform.

An emergency slide system to provide an evacuation of a high-rise building comprises a plurality of slide assemblies configured for movement from a first stowed position to a second deployed position. Each of the plurality of slide assemblies are built into a wall adjacent each of the flights of stairs disposed in the stairwell of the building. Each of the plurality of slide assemblies is disposed in a storage enclosure built into the wall adjacent each of the flights of stairs disposed generally parallel to the flights of stairs designed to zig zag down from an upper floor of the building to a lower floor. Each of the slide assemblies is constructed of an elongated escape chute to enable a person exiting the building to slide down a plurality of the elongated escape chutes between the upper and lower floors disposed in the stairwell of the high-rise building.
