Light footing shoring of a floating roof inside a tank during tank inspection and maintenance

A shoring structure for insertion inside a tank through a manway of the tank and for installation under the floating roof of the tank. This shoring structure has: a telescoping upright structure made of detachable elements; and these detachable elements being configured for movement through the manway of the tank. Foldable top and bottom panels are mountable to the telescoping upright structure, the top and bottom panels being also respectively configured for movement through the manway of the tank. The foldable bottom panel being configured for integration of a pallet jack thereto, for movement of the shoring structure in a raised position inside the tank when the top and bottom panels being mounted to the upright structure. In another aspect, there is provided a combination of a shoring structure and a pallet jack incorporated in this shoring structure. Also described is a method of inspecting or maintaining a tank.

SCAFFOLD

A scaffold provided with a running board part and a reinforcing member which is attached to at least one end of the running board part in the width direction of the running board part. The reinforcing member has a pair of extension parts which extend in the longitudinal direction of the running board and which are disposed apart from each other in the vertical direction, and a plurality of connecting parts which are disposed at intervals in the longitudinal direction and which connect the pair of extension parts.

SCAFFOLD

A scaffold provided with a running board part and a reinforcing member which is attached to at least one end of the running board part in the width direction of the running board part. The reinforcing member has a pair of extension parts which extend in the longitudinal direction of the running board and which are disposed apart from each other in the vertical direction, and a plurality of connecting parts which are disposed at intervals in the longitudinal direction and which connect the pair of extension parts.

A support apparatus 1 for supporting a user in an elevated working position above a ground surface G comprises a frame 60 for supporting a floor portion 20 of the support apparatus and a plurality of leg members 40a, 40b mounted to the frame 60 for supporting the frame above the ground surface G. Each leg member has a foot portion 42 for engaging the ground surface G. Each leg member is rotatably mounted to the frame for rotation about a rotational axis which is substantially perpendicular to the width and the length of the frame and each leg member extends from the frame in a radial direction of the rotational axis, whereby the foot portion is offset from the rotational axis.

An operator platform is moveably attached to the service deck and operable to move along the length of the service deck. A chair support is moveably attached to the operator platform and operable to move across the operator platform in a direction substantially perpendicular to the length of the service deck. The wing gantry includes a pivotable span platform positioned above the wing of the aircraft and pivotable between a raised position and a lowered position. The wing gantry is customizable to different aircraft wing types and styles.

A cage for surrounding a section of a work area of the top of rolling stock includes an inboard side, an outboard side, a front end section and a back end section. The inboard side of the cage is attached to an associated deployment apparatus. Each of the two sides can define a pair of fence notches to slide over the rails surrounding the work area. Each of the two end sections can define an inboard notch and a center notch. Some embodiments of the end sections can define an outboard notch that includes a self-adjusting straddle. The cage can be provided as part of a portable fall protection device that includes a telescoping positioning mechanism.

The staircase includes a transitional member, and the walkways incorporate grate supports in order to facilitate the connection to adjacent structures. The arrangement also utilizes angled members which are configured with a reinforced flange existing in a dimension that has higher load requirements than the other flange. A novel step configuration is also disclosed.
