The present invention relates to a formwork arrangement for forming a suspended concrete floor slab comprising a change in level in an underside thereof, a support bracket for use with such a formwork arrangement, and a method for employing the support bracket and formwork arrangement.

FORMWORK SYSTEM AND A METHOD OF FORMING A WALL

A formwork system that is readily repositionable to facilitate casting of material is disclosed. A front panel and a rear panel are disposed opposite to each other to define a forming space therebetween to receive the material. The front and rear panels sheath the material so as to retain it in the forming space. A coupler extends over the forming space between the front and rear panels and is pivotably coupled thereto to allow rotation of the front and rear panels about the coupler. A tie is spaced apart from the coupler and extends over the forming space between the front and rear panels. The tie is selectively contractible to cause rotation of the front and rear panels away from each other to move the formwork system from a forming position to a release position to selectively engage and disengage with the front and rear panels with the material.

Shield

A temporary shield erected between two flanged structural members of a bridge or other structure, and a method for erection of the shield. A plurality of length-adjustable beams have end portions which are rested on flanges respectively of the structural members in a manner so that they are not fixed thereto. Decking is attached to the beams. At least one elongate member is cantileverly extended from at least one of the beams to underlie a structural member flange to prevent wind lift-up of the shield. A shield is also erected by adjusting the lengths of and hanging the end portions of each of a multitude of beams from the structure with the beams lying side-by-side. Decking is attached to the beams.

An improved bridge overhang bracket assembly may include top, diagonal and side members. A hanger element may be mounted to the top member and pivotally attached proximate to the top end of the side member. The hanger element may be translatable along the top member for adjusting its longitudinal position, to vary the positions of the diagonal and side members quickly and easily, without disassembly, and may enable folding of the members to a shipping/storage position. A second hanger element may be mounted to the top member for attaching the assembly to a tie rod. The diagonal member may include at least one connection tab for receiving a bolt to connect the top and diagonal members together in the shipping/storage position. Also disclosed is a fastener assembly for securing a side rail to a T-bolt channel.
