Enhanced safety cage apparatus for work areas on top of rolling stock such as rail tank cars
A cage for surrounding a section of a work area of the top of rolling stock includes an inboard side, an outboard side, a front end section and a back end section. The inboard side of the cage is attached to an associated deployment apparatus. Each of the two sides can define a pair of fence notches to slide over the rails surrounding the work area. Each of the two end sections can define an inboard notch and a center notch. Some embodiments of the end sections can define an outboard notch that includes a self-adjusting straddle. The cage can be provided as part of a portable fall protection device that includes a telescoping positioning mechanism.
Support apparatus
A support apparatus 1 for supporting a user in an elevated working position above a ground surface G comprises a frame 60 for supporting a floor portion 20 of the support apparatus and a plurality of leg members 40a, 40b mounted to the frame 60 for supporting the frame above the ground surface G. Each leg member has a foot portion 42 for engaging the ground surface G. Each leg member is rotatably mounted to the frame for rotation about a rotational axis which is substantially perpendicular to the width and the length of the frame and each leg member extends from the frame in a radial direction of the rotational axis, whereby the foot portion is offset from the rotational axis.
SCAFFOLD STORAGE STRUCTURE
A storage structure for a scaffold is disclosed. In one embodiment, the storage structure includes at least one back panel, at least two side panels, and at least one door. The at least one back panel and the two side panels are configured to be affixed to the frame of a scaffold, and the at least one door is rotatably affixed to one of the two side panels. When the panels and the door are secured to the frame of the scaffold, an interior is defined having sides formed by the panels and door, and a top and a bottom each formed by horizontal decks of the scaffold. The panels and door hook and clamp into place on existing scaffold structures, and do not require that the scaffold be modified.
ASSEMBLY FOR ACCESSING AN ELECTRONIC DISPLAY
An assembly for installation, repair, or maintenance of balcony-mounted displays. The assembly may include a straddling component or frame, an anchoring assembly for selectively fixing one end of the straddling component in a desired location along the balcony, and a person-holding structure suspended from the balcony by another end of the straddling component. The straddling component may include forward vertical supports extending from the person-holding structure, horizontal supports attached to the forward vertical supports, and aftward vertical supports attached to the horizontal supports. Transport wheels may be rotatably attached to the aftward vertical supports, for rollable relocation of the platform relative to the balcony. The anchoring assembly may include both forward and aftward extension pieces attached to the aftward vertical supports and selectively adjusted to cooperatively fix the aftward vertical supports between a balcony wall and a heel-kick surface below the balcony seating.
MODULAR SYSTEM OF PLATFORMS FOR USE ON A GROUND SURFACE
Modular systems of platforms for use on a ground surface are provided along with methods for the use thereof. The system may comprise: a bottom platform; a booster platform; a railing; and/or a lifter. The system increases the modularity, customizability, portability, and safety of: providing a platform for standing above a ground surface; altering the height above a ground surface of a platform by providing a modular or stackable system of platforms; moving a platform from one place to another along a ground surface; supporting a toolbox above a ground surface; and providing a railing to help prevent a user from falling off of a platform.
MOBILE WELL SERVICING UNITS AND RELATED METHODS
A mobile well service unit has: a structural frame such as a chassis with ground engaging members; and a telescoping platform assembly mounted at a rear end of the structural frame, the telescoping platform assembly having a lower platform mounted to slide up and down relative to the structural frame, and an upper platform mounted to the lower platform to slide up and down relative to the lower platform. A mobile well service unit has: a structural frame with ground engaging members; a platform mounted at a rear end of the structural frame to slide up and down relative to the structural frame; and a set of telescoping and self-levelling stairs with an upper end pivotally anchored to the platform, and a lower end pivotally anchored to the structural frame.
PLATFORM SYSTEM
A modular platform system utilizing a number of components including a platform. The platform is configured so that each of the components may interchangeably connect to any side of the platform. The components include, for example, handrails and stairways, as well as other platforms. The platform and most of the components are formed from single, continuous pieces of metal.
Multi-Function Scaffold with Reversible Platform
A lightweight, multi-function scaffold includes an adjustable height platform that slidably mounts between two ladder frames. The side rails of the platform are reversible so that they can be mounted between the ladder frames in either a first orientation or in a second orientation. In the first orientation, the adjustable height platform is vertically movable between a first threshold and a maximum height. In the second orientation, the adjustable height platform is vertically movable between a second threshold and a minimum height. The ranges of movement in the first and second orientations may overlap.
SCAFFOLD RACK
A scaffold rack may have a first side and a second side. An upright portion may be located between the two sides. The first side may have at least one pair of scaffold frame tubes adapted to selectively secure at least scaffold frame. The second side may have a first arm adapted to selectively support at least one walkboard thereon and a second arm adapted to selectively support at least one scaffold bracket thereon.
