20180002931 · 2018-01-04 ·

A method for producing an injection molded and anti-skid mat providing a lower mold half and an enclosing upper mold half, the mold halves defining therebetween an interior cavity which is a negative of the mat to be produced. A cavity defining surface is configured in the bottom mold half with locations for preplacement of a plurality of underside adhering portions. A flowable plasticized/rubberized material is communicated through a channel in at least one of the mold halves in order to fill the interior cavity, the material setting and cooling prior to removing the upper mold half and the formed mat.

A safety system for a building roof may include a plurality of anchors to be connected to the building roof at spaced apart locations, at least one frame member, a net connected to the at least one frame member, and a plurality of straps each defining a loop extending between a respective anchor and the at least one frame member, with a portion of the loop being connected to the net. The safety system may further include a plurality of standoff members to be positioned between the building roof and the at least one frame member at spaced apart locations to hold the at least one frame member away from the building roof, and disengage from the building roof when the net is under load so that the net wraps around the load and the straps hang from the anchors.

FALL RESTRAINT SYSTEM

The present system for fall restraint includes a mounting frame connected to a trigger mechanism and firing blocks, with a trigger cable extending through apertures in the mounting frame and trigger mechanism. Sudden movement by a user, such as a fall, actuates the trigger mechanism to trigger the firing blocks. The firing blocks are loaded with anchors and firing cartridges. Triggering the firing blocks causes the cartridges to fire, propelling the anchors into an anchoring surface, such as a roof. Because the user is connected to the trigger cable, once the anchors deploy the user is anchored to the roof and their fall arrested.

Fall restraint system for roof work

A fall restraint for a worker on a roof comprising a yoke line, wherein a first end of the yoke line is releasably connected to a first building structure and a second end of the yoke line is releasably connected to a second building structure. The fall restraint also comprises a support line, wherein a first end of the support line is slidably connected to the yoke line, and a second end of the support line is connected to a worker harness, wherein the support line is adapted to travel over a ridge line of the roof and at least partially support the weight of the worker.

A roof anchor including a mounting portion including a plurality of holes formed therein and an anchor portion having an opening formed therein. The mounting portion and the anchor portion are planar members arranged substantially perpendicular with each other. The anchor portion is disposed along one side of the mounting portion with a bend portion formed at an intersection of the mounting portion and the anchor portion. The mounting portion and the anchor portion form a monolithic piece. The opening includes a lower edge and an upper edge, wherein the lower edge is closer to the mounting portion than the upper edge, and wherein a length of the lower edge is greater than a length of the upper edge.

ROOF-MOUNTED FALL-ARREST SAFETY DEVICE

A frame, one or more wheels rotationally attached to the frame, two or more end feet attached to opposite ends of the frame, one or more end safety tether attachments, and a flip-pole attachment. The frame straddles the roof peak so the end feet are stably positioned on opposite roof surfaces. The wheels enable the device, when flipped to its inverted position, to be rolled up and down the roof for installation and removal. The flip-pole attachment enables attachment of a flip pole for use in installing and removing the device from a ladder. And the end tether attachments enable workers to couple their safety tethers to the secured device so that if they fall their fall will be arrested for safety. In typical embodiments, an outrigger assembly is included with peak-mounting side feet for nesting on the roof peak and with side tether attachments for side attachment.
