Temporary Scaffolding Rest

The invention relates to a temporary scaffolding rest which temporarily supports a standby scaffolding component upon a scaffolding upright in a first temporary disconnected position which is laterally offset from the scaffolding upright for subsequent installation of said standby scaffolding component to a portion of said upright in a second installed position which is laterally inset from the first temporary disconnected position. The temporary scaffolding rest includes a temporary connector for temporarily connecting the temporary scaffolding rest to said portion of said scaffolding upright, and an elongated rest which extends laterally from the temporary connector in order to temporarily support a portion of said standby scaffolding adjacent said portion of said scaffolding upright in said first temporary disconnected laterally offset position ready for subsequent installation to said portion of said scaffolding upright in said second installed position. A method of erecting a row of scaffolding which is higher than the row of scaffolding upon which an installer is positioned is also provided.

Stairs to walkway system and method

Disclosed is an arrangement including a staircase as well as walkway systems. The staircase includes a transitional member, and the walkways incorporate grate supports in order to facilitate the connection to adjacent structures. The arrangement also utilizes angled members which are configured with a reinforced flange existing in a dimension that has higher load requirements than the other flange. A novel step configuration is also disclosed.

Systems for releasably securing a platform

A system for releasably securing a platform in a raised position is disclosed. A track is provided. An arm is connected at a first end to the platform. A second end, with a lug, is biased toward a side portion of the track. The lug is configured to ride in the track. As the platform is raised, the lug rides upward and enters the top portion and clears a first vertical wall, whereupon the lug rests in the depression and thus supports the platform in the raised position. As the platform is raised further, the lug clears a second vertical wall, whereupon the lug can ride downward in the side portion and through a bottom portion, past a door and out an open end of the bottom portion.

A roofer support apparatus for providing a level support on a pitched roof includes a base mount with a plurality of adjustment apertures and a chain slot. A mount bottom side is positioned on a pitched roof. A support is pivotably coupled to the base mount and receives a board. A pivot bracket is coupled to the support and is selectively engageable with two of the plurality of adjustment apertures to fix the pivot bracket to the base mount with the support horizontal. A chain is coupled to the base mount and is selectively engageable with the chain slot of the mount front side. A chain anchor is coupled to the chain. The chain anchor is secured to an opposite roof side of the pitched roof.

In some embodiments, the removably mountable temporary work surface includes a toolless mounting bracket, a spacing bar, and a hinge affixed to a work surface. The toolless mounting bracket may be configured to mount to construction framing. The spacing bar can be configured to extend or retract for use and storage. In various configurations, the work surface may include a metallic material and include one or more mechanisms to secure contents to the work surface, such as magnetic tethers. The work surface can be sized to form a substantially contiguous surface when mounted to adjacent framing posts.

A flexible device mounting kit allows to securely attach a sensor or another device to an arbitrary surface, including a surface that is very uneven. The kit includes a scaffolding assembly which includes a scaffolding guide and scaffolding teeth attached to the guide in a way that allows some of the teeth to move relative to the guide when the bottom of the teeth is pressed against uneven surface. When the assembly is pressed against the surface, the positions of the teeth adjust, forming, together with the surface, a cavity into which a gluing compound can be filled. A device mount to which a sensor (or another device) can be attached is pressed into the gluing compound before the gluing compound solidifies. As the gluing compound securely connects the sensor mount to the surface, the device can be securely placed within the mount regardless of how uneven the surface is.

Flag and banner hanging apparatus and install method

An apparatus and related methods includes a base attached to an upright structure (such as a street light pole), a mounting bracket that releasably engages the base while supporting a hanging banner, and an install adapter that releasably holds the mounting bracket and banner until the mounting bracket attaches to the base. A removal adapter facilitates disengaging the mounting bracket and banner from the base. The mounting bracket and install adapter (and removal adapter) are attached to a pole and engage (and disengage) remotely and without using separate fasteners, thus allowing a worker to install (or remove) banners high on the upright structure while standing on the ground. The base and mounting bracket have tapered shapes that wedgingly engage, secured by a spring-biased friction retainer. The install adapter and removal adapter have structures that facilitate remote install and removal of the mounting bracket from the base.
