Aircraft internal hanging scaffold
A method and apparatus for assembling a hanging scaffold system within the aft pressure bulkhead area of an aircraft to provide access to the pressure dome without contacting the pressure dome. The hanging scaffold system comprises a group of horizontal supports to support at least one floorboard. A group of vertical supports is connected to and extends perpendicularly from the group of horizontal supports. A clamping device is attached to each vertical support of the group of vertical supports and further engages an attachment point on an internal structure of an aircraft.
Ladder cage latching members and methods of use
A rapid release and rapid install latching member for use with ladder cages to couple the cage rings is provided wherein the latching members are capable of retaining the cage ring connecting members thereon without the use of external fasteners. The latching members are designed such that they may be removed from or installed on the ladder cage while the ladder cage is installed at the work site or otherwise for quick and easy repair or replacement. An exemplary ladder cage contains a plurality of ring members having a plurality of latching members interspaced around the circumference thereof, with adjacent ring members being coupled to each other through the interaction of cage ring connecting members with the latching members.

CONNECTING COMPONENT
A connecting component for connecting different scaffolding systems, comprising at least a first connection region, which is provided for connection to a first scaffolding system and which has a shaft that extends along a longitudinal axis, and an attachment region which is provided for connection to a second scaffolding system, wherein the first connection region and the attachment region are arranged adjacent to one another in the direction of the longitudinal axis and the first connection region has a receptacle in its interior in the shaft, at least on its side pointing away from the attachment region, which extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The attachment region has an abutment adjacent to the first connection region extending in a direction essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and the abutment has the longest dimension of the attachment region in the direction essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
Walkway installation having a handrail connector
A walkway installation includes a walkway assembly which includes at least one tread module supported by a pair of spaced apart elongate supports which extend in the direction of the length of the walkway installation, the walkway installation additionally including a handrail assembly including a handrail which extends in the direction of the length of the walkway assembly and a plurality of spaced apart posts which each secure the handrail relative to the walkway assembly, the handrail assembly additionally including a first connector which secures a post to one side of the walkway assembly and the first connector having secured thereto a substantially inflexible transverse link which extends across the walkway assembly in a direction perpendicular to the length of the walkway installation, the transverse link extending to a second connector secured to the other side of the walkway.
Enhanced safety cage apparatus for work areas on top of rolling stock such as rail tank cars
A cage for surrounding a section of a work area of the top of rolling stock includes an inboard side, an outboard side, a front end section and a back end section. The inboard side of the cage is attached to an associated deployment apparatus. Each of the two sides can define a pair of fence notches to slide over the rails surrounding the work area. Each of the two end sections can define an inboard notch and a center notch. Some embodiments of the end sections can define an outboard notch that includes a self-adjusting straddle. The cage can be provided as part of a portable fall protection device that includes a telescoping positioning mechanism.
Scaffold Safety Assembly
A scaffold safety assembly for facilitating a worker to service a scaffold includes a scaffold that has a frame comprising a leg portion. A step unit is removably attachable to the leg portion of the frame of the scaffold to facilitate a worker to stand on the step unit. The step unit extends laterally away from the leg portion when the step unit is removably attached to the leg portion. In this way the gate facilitates the worker to access various areas of the scaffold without standing on the scaffold. A gate is removably attachable to the leg portion of the frame of the scaffold. Additionally, the gate is positionable adjacent to the platform to inhibit the worker from falling off of the platform.
