High flow interchangeable drain cover assembly
A high flow drain cover assembly for a water feature is provided herein. The drain cover assembly can be interchangeably used as an open flow system or as a grated flow system. The drain cover assembly has a concave upper sump cover adapted to seat a surface finish so that the visual appearance of the drain cover assembly matches the surround surface into which the drain cover assembly is installed. The base of the drain cover assembly is shaped to reinforce the cover and define flow paths that allow flow rates of over 300 gallons per minute to pass through the drain cover assembly.
SYSTEM FOR VISUAL LIGHT COMMUNICATION AND RELATED METHODS
A system used to monitor and control a pool using a visual light communication system is disclosed.
Low profile circular drain with water stop for swimming pool and diverter for use therein
A sump drain for installation in a surface of a swimming pool or spa, the sump drain comprising an annular chamber having a contiguous annular top opening, a plurality of outlet ports, an inner and an outer water stop, a plurality of diverter plates configured to removeably couple to an inner surface of the annular chamber, each diverter plate comprising two opposed ends and a bottom surface having a plurality of louvers, wherein one diverter plate is placed over each outlet port, and a grid cover configured to cover the chamber, the grid cover having a multiplicity of openings. The diverter plate can be curved along its length and have a central opening, optionally in the shape of a cross.
Systems and methods for maintaining pool systems
One aspect of the invention provides a system including: a liquid filter configured for fluidic communication with a fluid repository; a flow sensor in fluidic communication with the liquid filter; a variable-speed pump in fluidic communication with the liquid filter and the flow sensor; and a processor in electronic communication with the flow sensor and the variable-speed pump. The processor is configured to: determine a total volume threshold for a filtration procedure of the fluid repository; identify a set of fluid flow activities performed by the variable-speed pump; determine a remaining volume for completing the filtration procedure by reducing the total volume threshold by a volume of fluid moved by the variable-speed pump during the set of fluid flow activities; and determine, from a set of energy-expenditure factors and the remaining volume, an activation schedule and an activation power output of the variable-speed pump for completing the filtration procedure.
DRAIN PLUG FOR AN ABOVE-GROUND POOL
An improved drain for an above-ground pool is disclosed. A variety of above-ground pool types are considered. Above-ground pools must be drained after use before being stored in a lengthy and time-consuming process. The improved drain can advantageously remain open during the draining process allowing for improved drainage. The drain can comprise a plug member and a locking member. The plug member can be configured to attach to the locking member when open. This and other embodiments are disclosed herein.
Pool drain suction outlet fitting
A pool drain or sump basin having elongated ring-shaped body, at least one and preferably a plurality of outlet ports about the ring-shaped body for allowing water to exit the drain, external peripheral flanges for mounting the drain, and an opening for allowing water to enter the drain, the ring-shaped body having an inner sidewall and outer sidewall, and open topside, and a closed bottom or floor closing off the bottom side of the body, bridging the gap between the inner sidewall and the outer sidewall, and creating a drainage channel. The body may have an optional cover configured as a removable or replacement cover with openings. The pool drain may have optional bridging elements and flow regulating elements for greater structural support and water flow regulation through the pool drain.
Pool Overflow Drain Heightener
The present specification discloses a pool overflow drain heightener that prevents pool water from draining through the pool overflow drain during normal usage, yet permits draining during an emergency overflow event. The pool overflow drain heightener includes a dam basin having an upper rim that defines a mouth configured to be positioned above the desired water level and above the lowest point of the pool overflow drain, such that the water level can temporarily or permanently rise above the lowest point, yet not drain from the pool. Excessive water levels will still be able drain through the mouth, and out the overflow drain, thereby preventing overflow of the pool.
DRAINAGE DEVICE FOR ABOVE-GROUND POOL AND ABOVE-GROUND POOL
A drainage device for an above-ground pool, and an above-ground pool including the drainage device are provided. The drainage device includes a drainage pipe, with inlet and outlet ends, and a drainage valve connected to the inlet end of the drainage pipe. The drainage valve includes a water inlet periphery, defining a water inlet in fluid communication with the inlet end of the drainage pipe, and a connecting member disposed circumferentially around the water inlet periphery. The connecting member is radially spaced apart from the water inlet periphery. The connecting member may be formed by injection molding around the water inlet periphery.
Low profile circular drain with water stop for swimming pool
A sump drain includes a ring-shaped chamber having an inner sidewall with a diameter of at least about 18 inches and an outer sidewall, and a circular opening between the sidewalls preferably about an inch wide and optionally having a grid cover. Preferably the inner sidewall has a number of ports extending inwardly to radial conduits to a central hub for tying into a pool or spa filtering system, with the central hub operating as a clean out and having a removable cap. Upon installation, plaster substantially fills the space between the chamber and the central hub, such that the sump drain attractively blends in with the pool or spa floor. When installed, the top opening is preferably substantially flush with the pool or spa floor while being safely unblockable. And the sump drain preferably further includes channels both outboard and inboard from the chamber top opening and around the central hub, to help prevent water from passing through the plaster into the shotcrete of the pool or spa.
Low profile circular drain with water stop for swimming pool and diverter for use therein
A sump drain for installation in a surface of a swimming pool or spa, the sump drain comprising an annular chamber having a contiguous annular top opening formed by an inner side wall, an outer side wall and a bottom surface; a plurality of outlet ports spaced along the bottom surface of the chamber; an inner and an outer water stop, the inner water stop coupled to an exterior surface of the inner wall of the chamber and the outer waters stop coupled to an exterior surface of the outer wall of the chamber, a plurality of diverter plates configured to removeably couple to the inner and outer side walls of the annular chamber, wherein one diverter plate is placed over each outlet port, and a grid cover configured to removeably couple to the annular top opening of the chamber, the grid cover having a multiplicity of openings.
