Omni-directional wheel for pool vacuum head
An omni-directional wheel for a pool vacuum head includes a first frame and a second substantially identical frame, each frame having a hub rotating around a common axis, lower supports extending radially from the hub, risers extending from the hub along the common axis, and upper supports individually coupled to the risers, the upper supports extending radially from the common axis. Rollers coupled to the first frame and the second frame, are radially spaced from the common axis on each frame. The rollers rotate normal to the common axis to impart omni-directional movement. When the first frame and the second frame are interlocked, the risers on the first frame engage the hub on the second frame, and the lower supports on the first frame engaging the upper supports on the second frame, maintaining the rollers in a staggered arrangement around the wheel.
Automatic pool cleaner
A pool cleaner includes a vent mechanism and a water port in fluid communication with the vent mechanism. When a forward end of the pool cleaner extends above a waterline of the pool, water flows through the vent mechanism and the water port over an inlet port and prevents loss of suction at the inlet port. A protruding member of the pool cleaner contacts submerged obstacle and tilts the pool cleaner to prevent the pool cleaner from becoming stuck on the submerged obstacle.

COMPONENTS OF AUTOMATIC POOL CLEANERS
Components of automatic pool cleaners (APCs) are detailed. The components may include brushes configured to attach to blades of scrubbers of the APCs. The flexible brushes may rotate as their associated blades rotate and have fingers which flex so as to adduce contact between a to-be-cleaned pool or spa surface and bristles protruding outward from sides of the fingers.

An apparatus for removing sediment from a pond includes: a handle; a vacuum unit connected to the handle, said vacuum unit having a first opening adapted for receiving material sucked into said opening and a second opening for material sucked into said vacuum unit to exit at a point outside said pond, said vacuum unit being submersible, supported by at least one wheel, and having an aperture for receiving a mixture from a bottom of the pond; a hose associated with said second opening; and a storage container, said storage container having a body and a storage film cartridge adapted to be positioned in said body, said cartridge having storage film therein, said storage film being permeable to water and having a mesh, and a sealing mechanism having an actuator operably connected to said cartridge, wherein actuation of said actuator rotates said cartridge causing said storage film to seal.

The present invention consist of an improved and very compact hand held pool debris removal system using a hydrodynamic water circulation device capable of producing significant water flow through a conduit. Such water flow is then used to lift and convey debris from bodies of water such as fountains, ponds and swimming pools. The device operates by creating a high speed water jet curtain using an external source of energy by means of pressurized water, which impinges on an steady body of water transforming the energy provided by the external water source into a strong flow capable of lifting and conveying light and heavy debris from the floor of bodies of water and forcing these debris into a fine mesh filter for retention and later disposal.
PORTABLE POOL CLEANER AND METHOD THEREFOR
A pool cleaner for cleaning a swimming pool has a vacuum head having an intake nozzle drawing in fluid. A body chamber is coupled to the intake nozzle and has an intake end and a discharge end. A pump is housed within the body chamber drawing fluid from the intake end and expelling the fluid through the discharge end. A filter is placed within the body chamber filtering out particulates from the fluid drawn into the body chamber. A battery pack is located remote from the pool cleaner and wearable by a user of the pool cleaner. A power cord couples the battery pack to the pump. The power cord being electrically connected to the pump by a waterproof connector.
