Re-positional drawer/door pulls
A pull assembly that affords users the option of one of at least three positions along an operatively associated drawer or door board, wherein the drawer or the door board provide the conventional manufacturer pair of bore holes spaced apart. The pull assembly provides three pairs of complimentary holes, each pair spaced apart to align with the pair of bore holes of the drawer or the door board. The three pairs of complimentary holes are arranged so that every other hole of the pull assembly defines a pair of complementary holes, wherein two pull assembly holes are adjacent to each other near a middle portion of the pull assembly. The holes on the back of the pull could be four, five or six aligned to the two boring holes of the door or drawer.
Apparatus and Methods for Securing an Equipment Cabinet
A securing assembly for locking a first section with a second section of an equipment cabinet against hinging movement. The first section can hingedly support a door of the cabinet. The securing assembly can include a knob, with a pocket, and a latch can be coupled to the knob to be rotated by the knob as the securing assembly is rotated between a free orientation and an engaged orientation. In the free orientation, the latch can be disengaged from the second section to permit the first section to hingedly open away from the second section. In the engaged orientation, the latch can be engaged with the second section to lock the first and second sections together and the pocket of the knob can be receive an arm of a lock on the door to lock the door to the first section and lock the securing assembly in the engaged orientation.
Glass door with a handle assembly
A glass door for a refrigerating unit and to such refrigerating unit, wherein the glass door includes a glass pane, a handle assembly including a transparent base part bonded at an adhesion surface to an outer glass surface of the glass pane, and a handle part made in a transparent material, preferably Polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA). The handle assembly further includes a mounting connection for mounting the handle part to the base part, wherein the mounting connection is provided by the one or more protrusions of the handle part and by one or more recess(es) in the base part or one or more recess(es) provided between the base part and the outer glass surface.
Universal rim housing locking system
A handle assembly includes a lock cylinder of a selected one of a first standard or a different second standard. A tail piece extends from the lock cylinder. The handle assembly also includes a vertical tubular member, a horizontal tubular member and a transition plate. The transition plate is disposed within the vertical tubular member and is moveable between a first position and a different second position. The transition plate accommodates installation of the lock cylinder of the first standard when in the first position and installation of the lock cylinder of the second standard when in the second position. A mechanical linkage is coupled to the tail piece and effects movement of a locking bolt in response to turning of a key in the lock cylinder.
Towel holding handle assembly
A towel holding handle assembly includes a handle bar that can be mounted on a variety of supporting surfaces for use as an operating handle. The handle bar receives two elongate clamping elements within a hollow interior thereof which are accessible through an opening along one side of the handle bar. The clamping elements are biased from a released position in which the first and second clamping elements are spaced apart to receive a portion of a towel inserted therein and a clamped position in which the first and second clamping elements are closer to one to clamp the retain the inserted portion of the towel clamped therein.
TOGGLE HANDLE FOR AN APPLIANCE
A method for operating a refrigerator appliance includes operating a dispenser of the refrigerator appliance to initiate a flow of liquid water or ice into a container positioned within a dispensing recess of the dispenser in response to a user input at a user input panel of the refrigerator appliance, receiving one or more signals from a sensor positioned at the dispensing recess after operating the dispenser to initiate the flow of liquid water or ice into the dispensing recess, and detecting a presence of the container in the dispensing recess based at least in part on the one or more signals from the sensor only after operating the dispenser to initiate the flow of liquid water or ice into the dispensing recess. A related refrigerator appliance is also provided.
Automated assist handle for automotive vehicle
Techniques and examples pertaining to an assist handle implementable to an automotive vehicle are described. The assist handle is automatically deployed to provide ingress or egress assist to a passenger to enter or exit the automotive vehicle. Furthermore, the assist handle is automatically retracted when not in use. The deployment and the retraction of the assist handle is controlled by an electronic control unit (ECU) of the vehicle, through an actuator and a transmission mechanism, in response to a command sent from a body control module (BCM) of the vehicle, the command regarding an operation of a door of the vehicle. When retracted, the assist handle may be invisible to the passenger. The automotive vehicle may be an autonomous ride-sharing vehicle.
Self-cleaning door handle cover
Described herein is a cover for mounting to a door handle (30) comprises two parts (10, 12) configured for mutual locking engagement such that when the parts are brought into mutual locking engagement around a door handle (30) at least a portion of the door handle is substantially enclosed within a cavity (16) formed between the two parts (10, 12). At least a portion of at least one of the parts (10, 12) is coated, impregnated, or otherwise provided with a self-cleaning material. Also described is a push plate device comprising a first plate (72) for fixing to a door; and a second plate (71) configured to releasably attach to said first plate in order to form a composite plate structure (70). The second plate (71) is at least partly coated, impregnated, or otherwise provided with a self-cleaning material so that the composite plate structure (70) presents a self-cleaning external surface.
ENDCAP ASSEMBLY FOR A DOOR OF A REFRIGERATION APPLIANCE
A refrigeration appliance includes a compartment for storing food items in a refrigerated environment, and having a door for selectively closing the compartment. The door includes a front panel, a rear panel, and an endcap assembly disposed therebetween at a vertical end thereof. The endcap assembly defines a handle for allowing grip of the door to thereby selectively open and close the door. The endcap assembly includes a plurality of discrete, spaced-apart snap elements along a generally front portion thereof for clamping a distal end of the front panel at a generally vertical extent of the front panel. The endcap assembly and front panel are configured to be maintained aside one another rather than extending therethrough, with the endcap assembly further configured to provide an elastic clamping force to the distal end of the front panel.
