Disclosed herein is a fenestration assembly. The assembly includes a movable sash assembly, a first lock counterpart connected to the movable sash assembly, a fixed sash assembly, a second lock counterpart connected to the fixed sash assembly, and a sill configuration. While the fixed sash assembly is mounted to the sill configuration, and while the movable sash assembly is mounted to the sill configuration at a first height, the movable sash assembly is lockable to the fixed sash assembly. While the fixed sash assembly is mounted to the sill configuration, and while the movable sash assembly is mounted to the sill configuration at a second height, the movable sash assembly is lockable to the fixed sash assembly. While there is an absence of locking between the movable and fixed sash assemblies, the movable sash assembly is movable relative to the sill configuration.

STORAGE BOX LATCH SYSTEM AND SECURITY FEATURES

A latch assembly for use in a storage container is provided, and comprises a bracket having a body, a first side, and a second side, the bracket being releasably secured to the first or the second body component of the storage container. The first side includes a protruding segment. The body includes at least one slot positioned thereon, the bracket being secured to the storage container via a fastener inserted through the at least one slot. The latch assembly also includes a handle secured to the bracket. When the handle is moved in a first direction, the bracket moves from a latched position to an unlatched position where the protruding segment passes through a lock box assembly, and when the handle is moved in a second direction, the bracket moves from an unlatched position to a latched position where the lock box assembly blocks movement of the protruding segment. The latch assembly is used in conjunction with a lock system.

The handle is adapted to be pivotably disposed on the slidable plate so as to have an engaged position and a disengaged position. The engagement component is slidably disposed on the handle and adapted to contact the chassis to slide the slidable plate into the chassis. The engagement component has a contact surface, and the contact surface has an edge located away from an axis of the handle. A distance between the edge of the contact surface of the engagement component and the axis of the handle in the engaged position is smaller than a distance between the edge of the contact surface of the engagement component and the axis of the handle in the disengaged position.

A ball lock is in operative communication with the trigger and the slide lock, with the ball lock, the trigger, and the slide lock being configured such that when the trigger is in the extended position, the ball lock inhibits movement of the slide lock from the unlocked position toward the locked position. Movement of the trigger from an extended position toward a retracted position allows the ball lock to assume an unobstructed position allowing the slide lock to transition from toward the locked position.
