RETAINER MECHANISM
The present invention discloses a retainer mechanism, comprising a first engagement assembly that is configured to be actively moved to one of a hold or a release state of the first engagement assembly, and a second engagement assembly that is configured to be passively moved to one of a hold or a release state of the second engagement assembly.
AUTOMATIC RECEPTACLE LID LOCK
A lock for a lid of a receptacle such as a trash can comprises a gravity pin, a torsion spring, a lower pin, and a latch. The lock can be mounted to the receptacle and lid. The gravity pin and latch operate to substantially prevent the receptacle lid from inadvertently opening, while automatically allowing the lid to open when the receptacle is inverted. Also provided are lids and receptacles comprising lid locks as provided herein.
Lock device for a waste receiving device and waste receiving device with such a lock device
A lock device for a waste receiving device, and a waste receiving device having such a lock device, where the lock device includes an upper lock part to be fastened on a cover of the waste receiving device and a lower lock part to be fastened on a container of the waste receiving device. The upper lock part has an upper lock part housing, a locking mechanism and a first locking element. The lower lock part has a lower lock part housing and a second locking element. The second locking element is pivotable about a swivel axis between a blocking position and a release position, whereby in the blocking position the second locking element cooperates with the first locking element in such a way that the cover is blocked.
Bar handle with incorporated lock
A bar handle with incorporated lock having a tubular element for gripping a handle, installed on a face of a door by way of interposition of at least one spacer element, and a lock which is at least partially contained inside the tubular element. The handle includes a release device for releasing the lock, which is configured to be operated manually with a pusher element installed on the tubular element. the handle comprises a release device for releasing the lock, which is configured to be operated manually with a pusher element installed on the tubular element.
Locking device to secure a door and methods for installing and operating the locking device
A device for securing a door including a rotatable handle affixed to the door, a rotatable member affixed to the door, a catch, and a protrusion from the rotatable handle that is configured to lift the member when the member is engaged with the catch and the rotatable handle is rotated. A device for securing a door including a member configured to be rotatably attached to the door, a catch configured to be attached to a wall adjacent to the door and to receive the member, and a protrusion configured to be attached to a handle on the door and to lift the member when the member is in a closed position and the handle is rotated. A method for installing a device for securing a door with a handle, the method including affixing a member to the door so that the member can rotate, affixing a catch to a wall adjacent the door, the catch configured to receive the member, and affixing a protrusion to the handle, the protrusion configured to lift the member when the member is engaged with the catch and the handle is rotated.
Latch apparatus
A wire crate latch apparatus having, in a first embodiment, a pivoting member that is continually drawn to a closed position by gravity and that is deflected into a catch when the door having the pivoting member is swung closed. The latch apparatus further includes upper and lower stops to contain a distal end of the pivoting member and to hold the distal end in the position to hit an oblique portion of the catch when the door is closed. In a second embodiment, a sliding latch apparatus is deflected by a catch and is relatively inaccessible from inside of the wire crate by back plates on the latch and catch.
Waste container with gravity latch and latch deactivation system
A waste container having a body and a lid pivotably connected to the body. The lid includes a gravity activated locking mechanism having a latch that engages the lid to the body when the container is in an upright position. The locking mechanism rotates to disengage the latch and allow the lid to open when the container is inverted for dumping the waste. The waste container further including a slideable member that is engageable with a locking member when the container is not in an upright position or inverted for dumping, to prevent rotation of the locking mechanism and opening of the lid. The container further including a deactivation system to prevent the lid from locking when the container is upright.
Sash window restrictor
A sash window restrictor (20) has a housing (22) which is to be let into a vertical frame member (10) of one sash (normally the upper, outer sash) of a window, at a position, say, 10 cm above the top rail of the lower sash when the windows are closed. A tab (24) is mounted in the housing and can be retracted into the housing or extended from the housing. A mechanism acts between the tab and the housing and allows the tab to be pressed into the housing and held in the housing for a period of time before the tab is released to allow the tab to extend. With the tab extended, the lower sash (12) can be lifted until it reaches the tab (24) but no further, so that a 10 cm gap will be opened at the bottom of the window.
LOCKING DEVICE FOR CONTAINER
The present invention generally relates to locking devices for waste containers, particularly residential or commercial waste containers. The present invention also relates to a waste container having a locking device which keeps the container closed when a sudden jerking or jarring, such as ground impact, is applied on the container, but allows the container to be opened during the dumping or tipping process. The locking device contains an impact detecting paddle or rolling member to provide a mechanical impact sensor that can detect whether the container has been unintendedly tipped over in the forward direction or whether it is being tipped over, such as for dumping.
Gravity Gate Latch Lockable and Unlockable by a Padlock from Both Sides of a Gate
A gravity gate latch that is sized and configured to be positioned in the gap between the free end of a gate and a stationary object when the end of the gate is adjacent the stationary object to automatically engage a strike member on the gate. The gate latch has a pair of side plates that are spaced apart to define a space that encloses a lever actuating mechanism and a hook plate. The hook plate has a hook member that engages the strike member of the gate. The lever actuating mechanism has a pair of lever arms, which can be accessed from either side of the gate, that move the hook plate upward to disengage the strike member. A lock receiving member at the bottom of the gate latch receives a padlock to lock the gate latch. The padlock can also be accessed from either side of the gate.
