LED CHIP-ON-BOARD LIGHTING DEVICE
20180031188 · 2018-02-01 ·

A lighting device may comprise: a housing configured to receive a light emitting circuit and a battery; a light emitting circuit including one or more light emitting diodes mounted to a circuit board; a translucent or transparent conformal lens formed to cover the one or more light emitting diodes; and an electrical switch for selectively energizing the light emitting diodes to produce light. The housing may be in a shape resembling a key. A method for making a lighting device may comprise: obtaining a circuit board having one or more light emitting devices; obtaining a housing configured to receive the circuit board; placing the circuit board in the housing; then dispensing a conformal coating material onto the circuit board; allowing the dispensed conformal coating material to spread and level; and curing the conformal coating material to form a cover on the circuit board.

System and method of identifying a specific key amongst a bundle of keys

A method of identifying a specific key amongst a bundle of keys requires a plurality of keyhole tags and a plurality of key sleeves. Each of the keyhole tags includes a wireless transmitter. Each of the key sleeves includes a wireless receiver and at least one notification device that is associated to a corresponding tag. The method begins by broadcasting an identification signal with the wireless transmitter for each of the plurality of keyhole tags. The method then positions the plurality of key sleeves adjacent to a desired tag from the plurality of keyhole tags. The method then receives the identification signal for the desired tag with the wireless receiver for each of the plurality of key sleeves. Finally, the method actuates the notification device of a specific sleeve from the plurality of key sleeves, if the corresponding tag for the specific sleeve is the desired tag.

Keyway illumination system

A keyway illumination system is operable with different keys to enable illumination of a keyway when a matching key approaches to enhance visibility of the keyway. A smart key case detachably couples to the key to provide a gripping surface for applying torque to key, and electrical components to actuate illumination of the keyway. The key case includes a receiver, a power switch, a mode switch, and a PCB motion sensor mechanism that deactivates illumination of the key case when sensing proximity to keyway. A slave module attaches adjacently to the keyway and communicates with the key case. A light torch emits a beam of light onto the keyway. A photoresistor detects presence of light from the key case to determine activation or deactivation of light torch. Verification that the key is engaging a matching keyway is possible by matching LED colors of the key case and slave module.

Illuminating key fob

An illuminating key fob including a key fob body having a base and a cap secured together. Various compartments, disposed on the base within the internal chamber, store batteries providing a power source to a light emitting diode light source adjacent the key blank disposed within the internal chamber at a front side of the key fob body. The light source is provided to illuminate a key hole opening for insertion of a key produced from a key blank. The batteries are in selective operational communication with the light source to operate the light source upon the alternate activation and deactivation of an on-off button switch on the cap. A loop-receiver opening in the rear side is sized to receive a key ring therethrough. A notch in the cap along the rear side assists in grasping the rear side for insertion of the key ring through the loop-receiver opening.

Illuminating Key Fob Device and Illumination Accessory
