Key system
A key comprises a body with a head and a blade and a magnet in the head. The key can be part of a key set including a plurality of keys. Each key can have a hole through the head, for example through approximately a center of the head. The key set can include a hub through the holes in the keys, such that the keys are coupled by and are rotatable around the hub. The magnets in the keys can silence, and resist, index, and lock rotation of the keys around the hub.
Method for detecting a change of a state of a lock and a system for detecting a change of a state of a lock
A method for detecting a change of a state of a lock by means of a device connected to a key for that lock. The method includes measuring a change of a position of the key about three axes; and indicating that the state of the lock has changed if the measured change of position of the key indicates that the key has rotated about a first axis by an angle greater than or equal to a primary threshold value and about the other two axes by an angle smaller than a secondary threshold value.
Key Handle Assembly
A key handle assembly for improving key usability for persons having limited dexterity includes a body. The body has a first side, a second side, and a perimeter edge extending between the first and second sides. The perimeter edge has a top edge, a bottom edge, a front edge and a rear edge. The front edge of the body has a plurality of notches extending therein and toward the rear side, and through the top and bottom edges. Each of the notches receives a key pivotably through the body. A plurality of intermediate walls is defined on opposite sides of the notches. The body has an aperture extending into the first side and through each of the intermediate walls. A rod extends through the aperture, through each of the intermediate walls and through a key hole in the key such that the key is pivotably coupled to the body.

Elevator hoistway door key multi-tool
An elevator hoistway door key multi-tool for elevator technicians', maintenance workers', and emergency rescuers' use. The invention is used to open elevator hoistway doors of different types in an emergency when, sometimes, time is critic. Elevator hoistway door key multi-tool comprises a housing assembly having at least two pins, and an elevator hoistway door key assembly. The elevator hoistway door key assembly comprises at least two elevator hoistway door keys. Each of the at least two elevator hoistway door keys pivots at one of at least two pins. The elevator hoistway door keys comprises, but are not limited to, T-shaped key, semicircular key and the flapper-type drop.
Key for operating a lock mechanism and kit of parts
The present disclosure relates to a key (101) for operating a lock mechanism (L). The key (101) includes a shank (105); and a blade (107) having a lock operating bit portion (111). The blade (107) is movable relative to the shank (105) between an operative position and a non-operative position. The blade (107) is disposed alongside the shank (105) in said non-operative position. The present disclosure also relates to key (101) in combination with a key fob; and a kit comprising a key (101) and a lock mechanism (L).

SEAMLESS EXTERIOR HANDLE FOR A VEHICLE DOOR
A vehicle door includes a lock cylinder having an actuator member that is operably connected to a door latch mechanism. A door handle is movably connected to the door structure for movement from a first or home position covering an outer end of the lock cylinder to a partially open position wherein the outer end of the lock cylinder is exposed. When the door handle is in the partially open position, a user can access the lock cylinder and insert a key into the lock cylinder to unlock the door then pull the handle to a fully open position. Thus, the lock cylinder is covered and hidden behind a portion of the door handle when the door handle is in the first position to provide an uncluttered, visually appealing appearance.
Portable electronic device integrated with a key
A key having a gripping portion, the key is left protruding so that torque can be applied by the key user. The gripping portion includes a gripping portion structure. The gripping portion structure further includes an electronic device having a plug connectable to a plug receptacle of electronic appliance. The electronic device integrated in the gripping portion structure. Along at least one side of the gripping portion structure disposed an elongated slot which is wide enough to be used as a key ring receptacle where the key ring, can pass through. The key gripping portion have a freedom of movement for the key user to move the key around the key ring and also a freedom of movement to cross the key ring to either direction, inwardly or outwardly for enabling comfortable access of the plug of the electronic device to be connected to the plug receptacle of electronic appliance.
