Motor vehicle door lock, more particularly hood lock
A motor vehicle door lock, more particularly a hood lock. The basic structure of the hood lock is composed of a raising mechanism, for a locking bolt or another stop part, on a hood. An actuating spring acting on the raising mechanism is also provided, in addition to a sensor for sensing the position of the hood. According to the invention, an additional spring is provided which raises the hood if the actuating spring breaks down and/or malfunctions.
STORAGE DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A vehicle storage device has a locking device that can keep a lid in a closed condition. The locking device includes an operation member for performing an unlocking operation of the lid, an engagement member that is provided such that the engagement member can be engaged with the storage portion and its engaged state is released when the operation member is operated, a first spring that biases the operation member toward a standby position in a locked state, and a second spring that biases the engagement member toward an engagement position in which the engagement member is engaged with the storage portion. The first spring is provided through a through hole formed in the engagement member.
Safety mechanism for door handle
A mechanism for selectively coupling a first moving part with a second moving part. The mechanism includes and engaging member that is movable between a detent position, a uncoupled position, and a coupled position in which the load transferring surface is within the aperture. A biasing member biases the engaging member into the detent position or coupled position. The engaging member overrides the biasing force and moves out of the detent position into the uncoupled position when first and second moving parts move relative to each other. When the engaging member is in the coupled position, the first and second moving parts are coupled for movement together. One embodiment of the invention is a child safety door handle rotating on a spindle. Other embodiments include water faucets, stove or burner controls, or any other rotatable or movable parts.
Lock device with a electric locking function
A lock device with an electric locking function includes a latch head slideably mounted in a case and an unlatching mechanism mounted in the case. The unlatching mechanism includes a follower portion operatively connected to the latch head. The unlatching mechanism further includes a locking mechanism having an electric driving device for driving a locking block to move between a front position in which the unlatching mechanism is locked and a rear position in which the unlatching mechanism is not locked. Wire or wireless control can be provided to control a driving shaft of the electric driving device to move in a forward direction or a reverse direction to lock or unlock the latch head.
DOOR LOCK CHASSIS ASSEMBLY
An apparatus that at least assists in maintaining a lever or knob of a lock device in a relatively neutral and static position. The apparatus includes a biasing element that can be constructed from a compliant material that may at least assist in reducing impact forces between interfacing surfaces at least when the lever or knob is returns to the neutral, static position from one or more activated positions. The compliant nature of the damper can further alleviate issues relating to manufacturing tolerances and wear between interfacing surfaces.
Security device
A security device for preventing or deterring theft of an object from a retail store or similar comprising a housing; a loop of cable extending from the housing for placement around said object; spool means rotatably mounted on the housing, the loop of cable being attached to the spool means such that, in use, rotation of the spool means in a first direction with respect to the housing causes the cable to unwind from the spool means, and rotation of the spool means in a second direction causes the cable to be wound around the spool means; latching means; alarm means; and retracting means arranged to apply a biasing force to the spool means.
LOCKING DEVICE
A locking device including: a locking pin movable in a linear direction; a tappet movable in the linear direction; and a clamping device connecting the tappet to the locking pin. Wherein the clamping device having an inner spring and an outer spring arranged coaxially relative to each other in the linear direction, and the inner spring is at least partially surrounded by the outer spring in a radial direction orthogonal to the linear direction.
Automatic Lock With Rotatable Trigger
A lock for securing to a movable body (1) and for cooperating with a strike plate (12) on a stationary body (11), which lock is movable away from the strike plate (12) for opening the movable body (11), which lock is movable into juxtaposition with the strike plate (12) for closing the movable body (11) and which lock comprises a casing (3) which includes a rotatable trigger (8) which is positioned in the casing (3) and a locking member (7) which is also positioned in the casing (3) and wherein; the rotatable trigger (8) projects from the casing (3); the rotatable trigger (8) rotates about an axis of rotation positioned on a front working plane of the casing (3) such that the rotatable trigger (8) rotates into the casing (3) and out of the casing (3) with the rotatable trigger (8) being spring biased to rotate out of the casing (3); the locking member (7) is movable between a projected position in which the locking member (7) projects from the casing (3) and a retracted position in which the locking member (7) is retracted into the casing (3); the locking member (7) is configured to move into the projected position when the rotatable trigger (8) rotates into the casing (3); the locking member (7) is configured to move into the retracted position when the rotatable trigger (8) rotates out of the casing (3); the locking member (7) moves into a locked position when the lock is brought into juxtaposition with the strike plate (12) such that the rotatable trigger (8) rotates into the casing (3) as it comes into juxtaposition with the strike plate (12), whereby the locking member (7) projects from the casing (3) such that the locking member (7) moves into a recess in the strike plate to lock the movable body (1) and: • when the lock is moved out of juxtaposition with the strike plate (12) the rotatable trigger (8) rotates out of the casing (3) and the locking member (7) moves into the retracted position.
Variable spring rate chassis
An apparatus including a chassis assembly having a housing, a spindle rotatably mounted to the housing, a spring collar rotatably mourned to the housing, a first biasing element rotationally urging the spindle toward a spindle home position, and a second biasing element rotationally urging the spring collar toward a spring collar home position. The apparatus may further include a handle mounted on the chassis such that the chassis biases the handle to a handle home position with a return torque. The handle is engaged with the spindle such that the first biasing element contributes to the return torque. In certain embodiments, the handle may further be engaged with the spring collar such that the second biasing element contributes to the return torque.
