IGNITION DEVICE FOR A MOTOR OF AN AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE
An ignition device for a motor of an automotive vehicle is provided that the device includes a rotor configured to receive a key and mounted in rotation on a bracket, the rotor including a retainer configured to retain the rotor in translation relative to the bracket, and a first push back device configured to apply a linear force between the bracket and the rotor along an axis parallel to the axis of the rotation of the rotor. The bracket and the retainer are configured to cooperate so as to inhibit the rotation of the rotor in a predetermined direction from a predetermined angular position and to allow the rotation of the rotor beyond the predetermined angular position in the predetermined direction upon preliminarily applying a force on the rotor in an opposite direction to the direction of the linear force applied by the first push back device.
Key plug, a cylinder lock, a cylinder lock and key combination and a method to manufacture a key plug
A key plug rotatable within a cylindrical bore of a cylinder lock. An upper relatively narrow part of a keyway has a small lateral width no more than 33% of the maximum width of a lower relatively wide part of the keyway and extends obliquely upwards along a first direction pointing away from a second lower side wall of a lower part and being inclined at a relatively small angle α, in the interval 3° to 12°, relative to the vertical mid-plane. The sideways or lateral location of the upper relatively narrow part of the keyway is such that an imaginary downward extension thereof, substantially in a second direction opposite to the first direction down to an outer cylindrical contour of the key plug, will fall onto the outer cylindrical contour at a same second side of the vertical mid-plane and inside the second lower side wall of the keyway.
LOCK STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF PROTECTION
A pin tumbler lock has a body in which is rotatably housed a core assembly that includes first and second core portions that are rotatable relative to each other, the first core portion being coupled to a moveable cam operatively connected to a locking element external to the lock, and the second core portion including a keyway, there being a shaft extending from the core assembly into the lock body, and a pin stack including a driver pin and a key pin within the shaft, the stack being positionable under bias to engage the first and second core portions against independent rotation, wherein the pin stack is positionable in the presence of an object other than a correct key in the keyway to cause disengagement of the first core portion from the second core portion. The first and second core portions may be coaxially aligned.
CROSS-SECTIONAL PROFILE FOR A FLAT KEY OR THE KEY CHANNEL OF A CYLINDER LOCK
The invention relates to a cross-sectional profile (1) for a flat key or the keyway of a cylinder lock, comprising a back surface (2), a first lateral surface (4) and a second lateral surface (4′), wherein the lateral surfaces (4, 4′) extend in the vertical direction to the back surface (2), the lateral surfaces (4, 4′) are arranged offset to one another by a distance (5), which varies along their extension, and the outline of the cross-sectional profile (1) defines a preferably substantially rectangular base profile (6), and wherein the lateral surfaces (4, 4′) each extend at least in sections along sinusoidal profiling lines (7, 7′), wherein the centerlines (8, 8′) of the profiling lines (7, 7′) lie within the base profile (6). Further, the invention relates to a flat key (16) with such a cross-sectional profile (1) and a cylinder lock with a keyway (13) for receiving such a flat key (16).
Locking Device and Method
An improved locking device comprising a lock body, a locking plug, and a plurality of tumblers, wherein the tumblers are restricted from moving with respect to the locking plug during the time frame that the locking plug is rotated with respect to the lock body.
Lock cylinders and control keys
A system including a lock class having a plurality of lock families, with each lock family including a plurality of lock cylinders. Each of the lock families has a control pin location which is different from the control pin location of another of the lock families within the lock class. Each of the lock cylinders generally includes a shell, a plug rotatably mounted in the shell, and a control ring rotatably mounted on the plug at the control pin location of the lock family of which the lock cylinder is a member, and a control pin operable to selectively couple the plug with the control ring. Each lock family may be associated with a control key family. Each control key family may include a plurality of control keys, each of which may have a control bitting configured to urge control pins of the associated lock family to a coupling position.
Interchangeable core lock assemblies
In one aspect of the present disclosure, a locking device is provided including an interchangeable core (IC), a barrel, an anti-rotation plate, a prong driver, a bolt and a backplate. The barrel is coupled to the backplate and includes a hollow interior to receive the IC. The bolt is slidably disposed in a slot of the backplate. The IC includes a key hole. The prong driver is coupled to the IC and the bolt, such that, when a proper key is inserted into the key hole and rotated the bolt can be extended from the slot in a direction away from the locking device or retracted into the slot in a direction toward the interior of the locking device. The anti-rotation plate of the locking device is coupled to the barrel to prevent the locking device from being rotated relative to a structure the locking device is mounted to.
High Security Locking System Which Forms a Deviating Picking Path and Associated Deviated Key
A high security locking system comprising a deviated key and a lock housing. The lock housing may further comprise a face plate with a keyhole for receiving the deviated key and first pin slots disposed within the lock housing. The high security locking system may comprise a lock cylinder disposed within the lock housing and include second pin slots disposed within the lock cylinder. An idler block may be disposed within the lock cylinder and may be rotatable, which may allow the deviated key to align with one or more of the second pin slots in the lock cylinder. Additionally, a stationary block may be disposed within the lock cylinder and the deviated key may rotate around the lock without interfering with the stationary block.
INTERCHANGEABLE CORE LOCK ASSEMBLIES

The barrel is coupled to the backplate and includes a hollow interior to receive the IC. The bolt is slidably disposed in a slot of the backplate. The IC includes a key hole. The prong driver is coupled to the IC and the bolt, such that, when a proper key is inserted into the key hole and rotated the bolt can be extended from the slot in a direction away from the locking device or retracted into the slot in a direction toward the interior of the locking device. The anti-rotation plate of the locking device is coupled to the barrel to prevent the locking device from being rotated relative to a structure the locking device is mounted to.
