PICK-RESISTANT PIN TUMBLER LOCK ASSEMBLY
A pick-resistant lock assembly may include a housing having a cylindrical opening. The cylindrical opening may have a centerline. The housing may include a plurality of pin cavities intersecting the cylindrical opening. A plug may be rotatably mounted in the cylindrical opening. The plug may include a keyway and a plug axis. A slide bar pocket may be formed within the housing. The lock assembly may include a pin verification mechanism having a slide bar in the slide bar pocket. The pin verification mechanism may be concealed within the housing and may be inaccessible to an attacker inserting a hand tool through the keyway. Other examples may be described and claimed.
Modular lock plug
A plug assembly including a plug, a sidebar movably mounted on the plug, and a plurality of rack pins seated in the plug. The sidebar is biased to an outer position in which the sidebar extends beyond an outer surface of the plug. Each rack pin includes a key-following leg and a sidebar-engaging leg. The sidebar-engaging leg includes at least one true gate. When a true gate of each rack pin is aligned with the sidebar, the sidebar is free to move radially inward to an inner position.
Key blank, a key, and a cylinder lock and key combination
A substantially flat key blade extends from a grip portion and has a connecting portion, a major longitudinal bitting portion and a free tip portion. The substantially flat key blade has a cross-sectional profile which, in the major longitudinal bitting portion, is confined within a rectangle having a height, measured in a vertical direction, being at least 2.5 times larger than a width thereof, and extends upwards in the vertical direction from a lower edge surface to an upper edge surface along a vertical mid-plane through the rectangle. A single upper part of the key blade has a relatively small lateral width being no more than 33% of the lower relatively wide part of the key blade and extends obliquely upwards at a relatively small inclinational angle in the interval 3° to 12° relative to a vertical plane.
Key plug, a cylinder lock, a cylinder lock and key combination and a method to manufacture a key plug
A key plug rotatable within a cylindrical bore of a cylinder lock. An upper relatively narrow part of a keyway has a small lateral width no more than 33% of the maximum width of a lower relatively wide part of the keyway and extends obliquely upwards along a first direction pointing away from a second lower side wall of a lower part and being inclined at a relatively small angle α, in the interval 3° to 12°, relative to the vertical mid-plane. The sideways or lateral location of the upper relatively narrow part of the keyway is such that an imaginary downward extension thereof, substantially in a second direction opposite to the first direction down to an outer cylindrical contour of the key plug, will fall onto the outer cylindrical contour at a same second side of the vertical mid-plane and inside the second lower side wall of the keyway.
Key operated lock
A key-operated lock comprising a housing, a core and a set of pin stacks. The housing has a set of driver chambers and a set of inactive master-pin chambers. Each pin stack comprises pin stack elements, which include a driver and a tumbler. The driver is movably mounted in one of the driver chambers. The tumbler assembly is movably mounted in the core for radial movement relative to the bore in the body. Further, the tumbler assemblies including a plurality of releasably engaged parts movable relative to each other upon disengagement to change a dimension of the tumbler assemblies. Additionally, for at least one of the pin stacks, the pin stack elements further comprise one or more master pins.
Key system of lock
A key system of a lock having a high peaking difficulty when picking is tried by a picking tool, includes three or more rectangular holes formed between pin holes of an inner case to insert rectangular pins, where each of the rectangular pin includes a side bar insertion groove and a fake groove formed to be spaced apart from the side bar insertion groove at an interval to raise the degree of picking difficulty. A quadrangular pin is inserted into the rectangular hole located in the middle among the rectangular holes formed in the inner case to be inserted into the hole formed in an outer case. The side on which the quadrangular pin is located has an escape groove to accommodate the quadrangular pin.
REKEYABLE LOCK WITH SMALL INCREMENTS
A rekeyable lock cylinder with a cylinder body and a plug assembly. The lock cylinder includes a plurality of key followers and a corresponding plurality of racks disposed in the plug assembly. Disengaging the racks from the key followers allows rekeying of the lock cylinder.
Lock cylinder and key with multiple, supplemental locking elements
A lock assembly includes a plug with a keyway, primary pins aligned with the keyway, a sidebar, secondary pins adjacent the keyway, and at least one supplemental sidebar control element for controlling movement of the sidebar. A key blank has a key blade with a primary top edge to receive primary bittings for controlling the primary pins, a rib to receive secondary bittings for controlling the secondary pins, and at least one shuttle pin. The shuttle pin engages a multi-level ridge within the keyway to move the shuttle pin from a retracted position to an extended position in which an end of the shuttle pin actuates the supplemental sidebar control element.
KEY AND ASSOCIATED LOCK
The invention relates to a key (1) for locking a lock, comprising at least one first surface (2) and at least one second surface (2′), with at least one sensing position (4) provided along the longitudinal extent of the key (1), at which sensing position on the first surface (2) at least one first code (3) is provided for reading in the lock and/or at least one second code (3′) is provided on the second surface (2′) for reading in the lock, wherein at least one code (3) of the first surface (2) differs at least at one sensing position (4) from the second code (3′) at the same sensing position (4). The invention furthermore relates to a lock for a key of this type, and a system made up of at least two locks or lock groups and at least one key according to the invention.
