TUBULAR LOCK FOR PUSH LOCKING
A tubular lock for push locking has a lock housing, a switching handle mounted in a front end portion of the lock housing, an upper pin seat and a lower pin seat mounted in the lock housing and the switching handle, and multiple pin assemblies and a core shaft mounted in the upper pin seat and the lower pin seat. A key is only needed when unlocking the tubular lock, and then the tubular lock can be locked by pushing the core shaft. The tubular lock can be used to latch a pivotal mechanism. When the tubular lock is in an unlocking state, the user can switch the latch to the locking angular position or an unlocking angular position by turning the switching handle without using the key. Therefore, flexibility and convenience in using the tubular lock can be efficiently improved.
KEY AND ASSOCIATED LOCK
The invention relates to a key (1) for locking a lock, comprising at least one first surface (2) and at least one second surface (2′), with at least one sensing position (4) provided along the longitudinal extent of the key (1), at which sensing position on the first surface (2) at least one first code (3) is provided for reading in the lock and/or at least one second code (3′) is provided on the second surface (2′) for reading in the lock, wherein at least one code (3) of the first surface (2) differs at least at one sensing position (4) from the second code (3′) at the same sensing position (4). The invention furthermore relates to a lock for a key of this type, and a system made up of at least two locks or lock groups and at least one key according to the invention.

Key and key blanks operable in vertically and horizontally oriented keyways
A key or key blank includes a key blade having a first edge, a second edge, and first and second opposed sides. The first edge has one or more edge bittings to elevate and/or rotate one or more tumbler pins of a lock with a vertically-oriented keyway, and one of the opposed sides has one or more side bittings to elevate and/or rotate one or more tumbler pins of a lock with a horizontally-oriented keyway. Side warding surfaces on the key blank are shaped and positioned to minimize the interference of peaks between the skewed bitting cuts on the key. A lock has a keyway configured for the key having edge bittings to elevate and/or rotate one or more tumbler pins of a vertical lock and side bittings to elevate and/or rotate one or more tumbler pins of a horizontal lock.
