Intelligent integrated locking devices and systems

An intelligent lock, overlock, and lock system can be electrically controlled to open and close one or more locks. The lock, lock system, and method may function on a frequency selected to avoid cross talk, which permits numerous locks to function simultaneously on the same central system with little interruption or delay. A lock may be used as an overlock for an existing lock or be a primary lock and may include a pivoting engagement structure that engages a locking mechanism to provide added strength.

DEADBOLT ASSEMBLY

A lock mechanism having a bolt movable between a thrown position and a retracted position, and a deadbolt assembly includes a sliding deadbolt configured to slide between a locked position in which the sliding deadbolt inhibits retraction of the bolt and an unlocked position. The sliding deadbolt includes a first anti-thrust cam configured to restrain the sliding deadbolt in the locked position, and a release driver arranged such that, when driven, the release driver releases the first anti-thrust cam from restraining the sliding deadbolt in the locked position and slides the deadbolt to the unlocked position.

A multi-pane door assembly for an oven appliance includes a door having first and second door panes. The first door pane is secured to the second door pane at a hinge point and is rotatable with respect to the second door pane between open and closed positions. As such, the door panes define a space therebetween when the first door pane is in the closed position. The door assembly also includes an engagement device for securing the door panes together, a locking mechanism for locking the engagement device, and a controller communicatively coupled to the actuating device. The locking mechanism includes, at least, a locking member and an actuating device. Thus, the controller is configured to receive one or more safety conditions relating to the oven appliance and select whether to engage or disengage the actuating device based on whether the safety condition(s) correspond to the predetermined safety condition(s).

The door locking mechanism abuts the door of the sterilizer, and comprises a locking arm hingedly connected to a frame to permit the locking arm to move between a locked position and an unlocked position, the locking arm having a cutaway portion, the cutaway portion permitting an extendible portion of the door to extend therethrough; a sensor arm arranged adjacent to the locking arm, the sensor arm being flexible to permit the sensor arm to be at least partially displaced away from the locking arm in response to applied pressure to the sensor arm from the extendible portion of the door as it passes through the cutaway portion; a motor in communication with the operating system; a camshaft actuated by the motor; a cam attached to the camshaft, the cam being in contact with the locking arm to move the locking arm between the locked position and the unlocked position; a closing switch positioned within the locking mechanism to detect displacement of the sensor arm, the closing switch being in communication with an operating system of the sterilizer such that when the closing switch detects displacement of the sensor arm it signals to the operating system that the door is in a latched position; and a locking switch positioned within the locking mechanism to detect movement of the locking arm into the locked position, the locking switch being in communication with the operating system such that when the locking switch detects the movement of the locking arm into the locked position it signals to the operating system that the door is in the locked position.
