Exit device with over-travel mechanism

An over-travel mechanism configured to couple an input shaft and an output shaft in an exit device assembly. The input is connected to an actuator that linearly displaces the input shaft, and the output shaft is connected to a locking member of the exit device. The over-travel mechanism includes a link coupled to the output shaft, and a preloaded elastic member transmits force between the input shaft and the link. Movement of the input shaft from a first input shaft position to a second input shaft position causes the elastic member to urge the link from a first link position toward a second link position. Movement of the input shaft from the second input shaft position to a third input shaft position causes the elastic member to elastic member to elastically deform without moving the link from the second link position.

Door lock device

A door lock device is provided and includes: a housing, an acting assembly arranged in the housing and having a lock tongue, an operating assembly arranged in the housing and interlocked with an outdoor handle, and a regulating assembly arranged in the housing for a user to regulate the operating assembly into an interlocking state or an idle state. As such, in the interlocking state, the outdoor handle drives the acting assembly through the operating assembly to cause the lock tongue to extend or retract relative to the housing, and in the idle state, the operating assembly cannot drive the acting assembly and the outdoor handle cannot be interlocked with the lock tongue.

DOOR AND DRAWER GANG LOCK

A gang lock for an article of furniture capable of simultaneously locking and unlocking a plurality of drawers and doors. The gang lock has a single locking mechanism operable to move a drawer lock bar to lock/unlock one or more drawers and a door lock bar to lock/unlock one or more doors. The lock mechanism is coupled to the drawer lock bar so that operation of the lock mechanism causes movement of the drawer lock bar. The drawer lock bar and the door lock bar are coupled together by a linkage so that movement of the drawer lock bar causes movement of the door lock bar. The drawer lock bar may be oriented vertically and the door lock bar may be oriented horizontally. The linkage may include a cam and cam follower to translate vertical movement of the drawer lock bar into horizontal movement of the door lock bar.

ELECTROMECHANICAL LOCK AND METHOD

Electromechanical lock and method are disclosed. The lock includes: a movable permanent magnet to move between a first position and a second position; a stationary permanent semi-hard magnet; and an electrically powered magnetization coil positioned adjacent to the stationary permanent semi-hard magnet to switch a polarity of the stationary permanent semi-hard magnet between a first magnetization configuration and a second magnetization configuration. The first magnetization configuration of the stationary permanent semi-hard magnet moves the movable permanent magnet to the first position. The second magnetization configuration of the stationary permanent semi-hard magnet moves the movable permanent magnet to the second position. A magnetic axis of the movable permanent magnet is side by side with a magnetic axis of the stationary permanent semi-hard magnet.

Lock

A lock includes a housing assembly, an actuatable lock assembly and a latching assembly. The actuatable lock assembly is positionable in at least a closed orientation and an open orientation. The latching assembly further includes a latch, a cam and a motor. The latch, having a cam profile, is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the actuatable lock assembly is maintained in the closed orientation. In the unlocked position, the actuatable lock assembly is positionable into an open orientation. The cam is rotatably mounted and has a first follower configured to intermittently coact with the cam profile of the latch, to, in turn, move the latch between the locked position and the unlocked position. The motor is coupled to the cam. Actuation of the motor causes rotation of the cam, resulting in movement of the latch between the locked and unlocked positions.

ELECTRIFIED EXIT DEVICE

A latch dogging assembly comprises an electromagnet and an actuator mounted on a bracket. A guide slide is pivotally mounted on the bracket with a lead block coupled to the guide slide. A guide pin rides along an inner surface of the bracket causing the guide slide to pivot. A pawl is slidably engaged with the guide slide. A guide link includes a post. An armature is mounted to the panic bar and the post engages the pawl. When the actuator is energized to move the lead block, the pawl engages the post to pivot the armature and thereby cause the panic bar to move from the extended position to the depressed position. When the electromagnet is energized the armature is magnetically held preventing reverse pivoting of the guide link. A method for fully retracting a door latch is also provided.

A door lock includes a latch device and inner and outer operating devices operatively connected to the latch device. The inner operating device includes a control module and a first battery module electrically connected to the control module and supplying electricity for operation of the door lock. A detecting module is electrically connected between the first battery module and the control module. The outer operating device includes a first electric connecting device electrically connected to the detecting module and an unlocking information input module electrically connected to the control module. When the remaining electricity of the first battery module detected by the detecting module is lower than a preset alarm value and a second electric connecting device of a mobile device is in electrical connection with the first electric connecting device, the second battery module of the mobile device supplies electricity to the door lock for operation.

Door handle assembly for vehicle compartment

A handle assembly is provided for use on storage compartment doors of a vehicle. The assembly includes inner and outer housings residing on opposite sides of the door. The handle assembly plunger resides on the inside of the door, rather than between the outside and inside door skins. An exterior handle can be grasped from either side for moving the plunger from an extended latched position to a retracted unlatched position for opening the door. An interior egress handle is provided to open the door from inside the compartment, as a safety feature. A key cylinder on the outer housing allows the handle assembly to be locked to preclude accidental or unauthorized opening of the door. The handle assembly allows the door to be opened by electric remote power and to be closed by slam action.
