SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELECTRONICALLY LOCKING HVAC DOORS

Systems and methods are disclosed that operate a door latch of a door of a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system electronically based on operating a locking engagement device. The locking engagement device may be disposed on an outer portion of a door, the latch may be part of a latching system disposed on an inner portion of the door, and the locking engagement device may transmit a signal indicating that the locking engagement device is in an open or closed position to the latching system via a conductor electronically coupling the locking engagement device and the latching system. In some embodiments, the locking engagement device may transmit a signal indicating that the locking engagement device is in an open or closed position to a controller, which may then instruct the latching system to open or close the latch based on receiving the signal.

Work site storage lock system

A tool chest may include a base portion, two opposing sidewalls, a drawer portion and a lid. The sidewalls extend substantially parallel to each other on opposite sides of the base portion to define a tool repository between the sidewalls. The lid has a closed position covering a top of the tool chest, and an open position in which access is provided to the tool repository. The drawer portion is slidable to at least partially remove the drawer portion from the base portion. The drawer portion is automatically locked by closing the lid via a locking assembly that is operable configured to automatically unlock with the lid is open unless the locking assembly is retained in a locked position.

A gang lock for an article of furniture capable of simultaneously locking and unlocking a plurality of drawers and doors. The gang lock has a single locking mechanism operable to move a drawer lock bar to lock/unlock one or more drawers and a door lock bar to lock/unlock one or more doors. The lock mechanism is coupled to the drawer lock bar so that operation of the lock mechanism causes movement of the drawer lock bar. The drawer lock bar and the door lock bar are coupled together by a linkage so that movement of the drawer lock bar causes movement of the door lock bar. The drawer lock bar may be oriented vertically and the door lock bar may be oriented horizontally. The linkage may include a cam and cam follower to translate vertical movement of the drawer lock bar into horizontal movement of the door lock bar.

A drawer assembly is described that includes one or more mini-drawer assemblies. A mini-drawer assembly comprises a sliding tab along a rear-to-front axis, a release mechanism coupled to the sliding tab, and a body having a body bottom coupled from the body bottom to the sliding tab. The body may slide over the sliding tab. The mini-drawer assembly may include a plurality of compartments in the body and a plurality of lids that are hingedly coupled to the compartments. Each lid may have a respective fastening element. A plurality of latches may couple to the body such that each latch is coupled to a corresponding compartment. The latch may hold the respective fastening element of the lid. When the body is pulled out along the rear-to-front axis, the release mechanism may engage with the latch to release the respective fastening element and to unlatch the lid of the compartment.

A locking device intended to prevent opening of a door/doors includes a body, which is capable of being coupled immovably to a door handle and prevents opening of a door/doors. The body is provided with a coupling arrangement adjustable with adjustment elements for locking the handle against an external surface of the door by being propped immovably on a vertical frame member of the door or on a handle of the adjacent door.

Locking system with multiple latches

A locking system provides multiple lockable latching mechanisms that are collectively operable and lockable from a central actuation mechanism. Each latching mechanism can be positioned and actuated independent of the positioning of others of the latching mechanisms. In particular, the latching mechanisms need not be aligned with one another. The system uses flexible connectors between the central actuation mechanism and the respective latching mechanisms. The flexible connectors can have different respective lengths.

Automated area denial system

A system and method for automatically screening anyone arriving to a facility outside of predetermined entry and exit times is provided. The automated screening system denies entry and detains anyone determined to be a threat. An operator may then take the person denied entry into custody or manually override the system to allow the person access to the facility.

Time synchronization

A method having the steps of obtaining temporal information communicated to a first device; carrying out one or more of the following tests: a test to determine whether the first device is in a state following an initial operation, a battery replacement or other power outage, or a reset, a test to determine whether a deviation between temporal information of the clock and the communicated temporal information is less than or equal to a threshold which is specified, and a test to determine whether the communicated temporal information has the same date as the temporal information of the clock; and synchronizing the clock using the communicated temporal information if all of one or more defined conditions are satisfied, wherein one of the one or more conditions requires that at least one of the one or more tests carried out has a positive result.
