ADJUSTABLE GATE LATCH ASSEMBLY
A gate latch assembly includes a first door mountable portion including a first body and carrying a pivotable latch bar that extends outward from a side of the first body, and a first handle part operatively connected to effect pivot of the latch bar when the first handle is rotated, a second door mountable portion including a second body and carrying a pivot bar, and a second handle part operatively connected to effect pivot of the pivot bar when the second handle is rotated. The gate latch assembly can be assembled in either a first configuration to permit rotation of the pivot bar away from its neutral position in only a first direction, or a second configuration to permit rotation of the pivot bar away from its neutral position in only a second direction that is opposite the first direction.
Throw lock assemblies, throw bolt assemblies, and methods for assembling and using same
A lock assembly comprising a throw bolt, a bolt holder and a bolt keeper. The bolt comprises a cutting barrier and a bolt casing, the bolt casing being more corrosion-resistant than the cutting barrier, and the cutting barrier being more abrasion-resistant that the bolt casing. When assembled, the cutting barrier will be enclosed within the bolt casing.
A LOCK
The invention relates to a lock (5) for a hinged closure, comprising a housing (8) adapted to be mounted on a frame (3) of the closure, and seating internally thereof a bolt device (4) reciprocable relative to the housing between respective open and closed positions of the closure and having a throw of substantially 70 mm to bridge in use a gap between the frame and a facing keeper, characterised by a Eurocylinder lock means (5) adapted to engage and retain the bolt (4) in the locked, or closed, position of the closure. There is also disclosed means to protect the said lock (5) against vandalism, the means comprising in disclosed embodiments a cover plate (305,305a), an inclined escutcheon (6), or smooth fillet weld(s) securing the escutcheon (6) to the housing (8).
Pocket Door System
A pocket door system for inhibiting an animal from passing through a doorway includes a door frame is positioned within a wall. A door unit is slidably positioned within the wall. The door unit is biased into a closed position having the door unit extending across the door frame. Thus, the door unit may inhibit an animal from passing through the door frame. The door unit is selectively urged into an open position. Thus, the door unit facilitates the animal to pass through the door frame.
Throw lock assembly and bolt keeper assembly
A lock assembly comprising a throw bolt, a bolt holder and a bolt keeper. The bolt keeper comprises a buffer and a biasing mechanism, configured such that when the lock assembly is arranged as in use, and the throw bolt is in the locking position, the buffer will space the throw bolt apart from a surface to which the bolt keeper is attached; and the biasing mechanism will bear on the bolt and bias it against the buffer.
WRAP-AROUND GATE LATCH
Disclosed herein is a wrap-around gate latch assembly comprising a base frame formed by connecting together a front frame, a central frame, and a back frame. The base frame can be wrapped around a gate post for installation without drilling through the gate post. A moving plate is provided to communicate between a front part and a back part that are mounted on the base frame. A movable hook is provided in the front part, that engages or disengages with a striker bar in a latched or an unlatched position respectively. A first push button provided on the front part, is operated to disengage the hook from the striker bar for opening the latched gate. A second push button provided on the back part, is operated to push a single moving plate towards the front part thereby triggering the movable hook to release the striker bar.
Latch apparatus with independent identical opposing latches
The present latch apparatus includes a swinging piece having first and second independent latches or sliders sliding in first and second slots. The first and second sliders slide independently of each other. The first and second sliders engage an undersurface of an extension of a first object such as a gate. If either the first or second slider is engaged on the undersurface, the swinging piece is locked and is not swingable such that the first object such as the gate cannot itself swing away from a second object such as a barrier section. Only when each of the first and second sliders has been slid beyond the undersurface can the swinging piece swing to permit the first object such as the gate to be released and thus swingable itself relative to the second object such as the barrier section.
CONNECTING ASSEMBLY, DOOR GURADRAIL AND FENCE
Disclosed are a connecting assembly, a door guardrail and a fence using the connecting assembly. The connecting assembly includes a first connector and a second connector, a transverse locking device and a longitudinal locking device are arranged between the first connector and the second connector, and the longitudinal locking device is capable of limiting relative movement of the first connector and the second connector in a transverse direction.
Corral Gate Latch Release Device
A corral gate latch release device facilitates quick release of a corral gate latch without a user having to dismount from a horse. The device includes a gate door and a latch coupled to and extending from the gate door. A base post is positioned adjacent to the gate door when the gate door is in a closed position. A latch lock is positioned on the base post to engage the latch when the gate door is in the closed position. A linkage is coupled to the base post and is operationally coupled to the latch lock to disengage the latch lock from the latch. A grip arm is operationally coupled to the linkage to be grasped to move the linkage for disengaging the latch lock from the latch.
Magnetic safety gate latch
A magnetic safety gate latch assembly and method of operation. The assembly includes: a pool latch tube, a user-actuated lid coupled to the top end of the pool latch tube; a rotatable shaft within the pool latch tube, an upper end of the shaft rigidly coupled to the lid, and a lower end of the shaft including a shaped base. The assembly further includes a magnet housing that at least partially encloses the shaped base and includes an aperture to cooperatively engage with the shaped base. The assembly further includes a bottom cover coupled to the lower end of the pool latch tube and enclosing the magnet housing, the bottom cover including an aperture facing a latch pin housing, the aperture positioned to expose a magnet. The assembly further includes a ferromagnetic latch pin and housing, and a magnetic latch pin guide slidably enclosing the latch pin.
