A process and apparatus for providing a cabinet security system is disclosed. The system includes a magnetic lock to be mounted on a movable cabinet panel and a catch that is mounted on a cabinet frame and configured to engage the magnetic lock to hold the cabinet panel in a closed position relative to the cabinet frame.

A gang lock for an article of furniture capable of simultaneously locking and unlocking a plurality of drawers and doors. The gang lock has a single locking mechanism operable to move a drawer lock bar to lock/unlock one or more drawers and a door lock bar to lock/unlock one or more doors. The lock mechanism is coupled to the drawer lock bar so that operation of the lock mechanism causes movement of the drawer lock bar. The drawer lock bar and the door lock bar are coupled together by a linkage so that movement of the drawer lock bar causes movement of the door lock bar. The drawer lock bar may be oriented vertically and the door lock bar may be oriented horizontally. The linkage may include a cam and cam follower to translate vertical movement of the drawer lock bar into horizontal movement of the door lock bar.

In general, one aspect of the subject matter described in this specification is embodied in a latch. The latch includes a ball joint. The ball joint includes a stem and a first ball positioned at a proximal end of the stem. The latch includes a casing that is configured to surround a portion of the stem and the first ball and secures the ball joint within an enclosure. The latch further includes a cap plate. The cap plate has a recess or cup that receives the first ball of the ball joint and allows the first ball to swivel within the recess or cup.

A smart box cooler having a computing device is provided. The smart box cooler can obtain authorization data, and determine whether the authorization data authorizes access to a cavity of the smart box cooler. The smart box cooler can activate an electrically operated actuator to control access to the cavity.

A smart box cooler includes a cooler body and a delivery lid coupled to the liner or the cooler body. The delivery lid is adapted to close an opening that extends through the cooler body and the liner into at least one cavity of the cooler body. The smart box cooler can maintain a food safe temperature in the cavity. The cooler body or the delivery lid includes a delivery assembly with a lock mechanism, an electrically operated actuator adapted to prevent the lock mechanism from being unlocked, and a computing device. The computing device can initiate access to the cavity of the cooler body.

A computer casing includes a housing, a retaining structure, a lock plate, and an elastic element. The retaining structure is disposed in the housing. The lock plate is movably disposed on the retaining structure. The elastic element is disposed on the lock plate, and applies an elastic force to the retaining structure to retain the lock plate in a burglar-proof position or a storage position.

The lid includes a locking mechanism configured to automatically secure the lid when in a closed position. A door lock disposed on the lid includes an input for unlocking the lid when in the closed position. An alarm system disposed on the housing is configured to detect intruders, activate a home alarm system and a recording device, and wirelessly communicate any attempted intrusions to an electronic device. An auxiliary net removably attachable to the interior volume is configured to receive items that are too large to fit within the interior volume and secure them exteriorly to the storage box.

A computer casing includes a housing, a retaining structure, a lock plate, and an elastic element. The retaining structure is disposed in the housing. The lock plate is movably disposed on the retaining structure. The elastic element is disposed on the lock plate, and applies an elastic force to the retaining structure to retain the lock plate in a burglar-proof position or a storage position.
