ANTI-THEFT DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR FOR CARDBOARD BOXES
The invention relates to an anti-theft device configured to be attached to merchandise to be protected, preferably to cardboard boxes, the anti-theft device comprising a housing, which comprises a winding apparatus rotatably mounted therein, at least one securing-loop arrangement, the securing-loop arrangement being designed to loop around the merchandise to be protected such that the anti-theft device can be securely connected to the merchandise to be protected, and a winding apparatus locking mechanism configured to prevent the rotational unwinding movement of the winding apparatus in the housing, if the winding apparatus locking mechanism is engaged with the winding apparatus.
Cable alarm tag
The present invention provides an improved cable that includes at least one insulated conductor insulated from and within and inside a insulated second conductor, with both conductors connected with both ends with a cable alarm tag to form a closed electrical circuit, with the loop of the cable connected to an article for securing the article. With the cable of the present invention, if severed, the use of jumper cables will maintain the electrical circuit loop closed for the outer conductor only, but not the insulated inner conductor that is within and inside the outer conductor. Therefore, when severing the cable to disconnect and discontinue the physical loop to remove the secured article, even if cable jumpers are used, the insulated inner conductor will remain open circuited when the cable is cut, resulting in trigger of the alarm.
Thermoplastic security seal with covered locking recess
A security seal includes a molded one piece body and a cover disc. The body has a cylindrical chamber for receiving the disc. A locking recess is formed in the body in communication with the chamber and defined in part by a locking shoulder. The cover is secured to the body in the chamber to enclose the locking recess. The disc is separated from the body when enclosing the chamber. A rotatable arm is attached to an extension member extending from the body via a hinge. The free end of the arm has an arrow shaped locking element attached that engages the recess locking shoulder when inserted into the recess. The locking element has a resilient tang member that is compressed by the locking shoulder and which tang member returns to its acquiescent state when fully inserted into the recess thereby locking the tang member in the recess. The cover has posts that extend through mating bores in the body, the protruding ends of the posts are deformed to preclude withdrawal of the posts from the bores to thereby lock the cover to the body.
Security device
A security device for preventing or deterring theft of an object from a retail store or similar comprising a housing; a loop of cable extending from the housing for placement around said object; spool means rotatably mounted on the housing, the loop of cable being attached to the spool means such that, in use, rotation of the spool means in a first direction with respect to the housing causes the cable to unwind from the spool means, and rotation of the spool means in a second direction causes the cable to be wound around the spool means; latching means; alarm means; and retracting means arranged to apply a biasing force to the spool means.
Electrical alarm and methods of making and using the alarm
A security tag including: a housing and circuitry which detects a locked state, the circuitry configured to execute a signal transfer function responsive to interchanging a pin and a lanyard in the circuitry, and/or the housing including a replaceable battery compartment locked by inserting either the pin or the lanyard into a lock mechanism which differently secures the pin and the lanyard; and an alarm, in communication with the circuitry, triggered by an undisarmed breach of the locked state.
SECURING DEVICE FOR OBJECTS
In a securing device for attachment of an object which is to be secured, wherein the securing device has a housing with a base plate and a lid as well as means for generating an alarm when the securing device is removed from the object without authorization, wherein the securing device is attached to the object by a double-adhesive strip having a double-adhesive first section and a non-adhesive second section. The first section has an initial adhesiveness which is lost when the strip is stretched. The second section forms a grip for stretching the double-adhesive strip. The double-adhesive strip is attached on one side to the underside of the base plate so that it is covered by the base plate and on the other side to the object. The non-adhesive second section is placed between the base plate and the lid in its closed state such the grip is only accessible only in the open state of the housing. Also disclosed is an object securing system having a housing for being secured to an object by two belts crossing each other, the housing having a base plate, a lid, a locking mechanism and an alarm triggering apparatus. The base plate can be slid between the surface of the object and the belts, so that the belts cross at the center of the base plate to hold the housing on the object. The locking mechanism when in the locked state prevents the base plate from being slid out from between the object and the belts, and an alarm is triggered when the securing device is detached from the object without authorization.
SECURITY TAG HOLDER
A security tag holder and a security tag assembly is provided. The security tag holder may have a holder body that defines a security tag holding cavity. First and second band retaining fingers may attached to the holder body on an opposite sides of the security tag holding cavity. The fingers are used to secure the holder to a retention band. The security tag holder may have a contact lever that cooperates with an alarm button of a security tag when the security tag assembly is mounted to a product.
Wrap for an item of merchandise
A merchandise security device configured for use with an electronic key for locking and/or unlocking a lock mechanism is provided. The merchandise security device may include a housing operably coupled with a cable, wherein the cable is configured to be extended and retracted relative to the housing and to at least partially surround an item of merchandise. The security device may also include a lock mechanism configured to releasably secure the cable relative to the housing for locking the cable about the item of merchandise. In addition, the lock mechanism is configured to receive electrical power for unlocking the lock mechanism so that the housing and the cable may be removed from the item of merchandise.
Box edge security device
A box edge security device, for a merchandise box having adjacent structural portions connected together along an edge, includes an edge cleat and a tag assembly. The edge cleat is adapted to be attached around an edge of a merchandise box, the merchandise box having a first structural portion and a second structural portion that are connected to one another along the edge, such that a first portion of the edge cleat is disposed against the first structural portion of the merchandise box and a second portion of the edge cleat is disposed against the second structural portion of the merchandise box. The tag assembly interlocks with the edge cleat and includes an electronics assembly, contained within a housing, that forms at least part of an alarm system. The electronics assembly may include an electronic article surveillance (EAS) tag.
