Methods and Systems for Opening of a Vehicle Access Point Using Audio or Video Data Associated with a User
Methods and systems for opening an access point of a vehicle. A system and a method may involve receiving wirelessly a signal from a remote controller carried by a user. The system and the method may further involve receiving audio or video data indicating the user approaching the vehicle. The system and the method may also involve determining an intention of the user to access an interior of the vehicle based on the audio or video data. The system and the method may also involve opening an access point of the vehicle responsive to the determining of the intention of the user to access the interior of the vehicle.

Method for unlocking a hood of a vehicle
A method for unlocking a hood of a vehicle in which a latch and a safety catch are arranged for engaging a striker and a locking member is arranged for engaging the safety catch. The method includes displacing the safety catch if a predetermined vehicle condition is fulfilled from a closed state wherein the safety catch is in locking engagement with the striker to an open state where the safety catch is disengaged from the striker for moving the hood locking mechanism from the intermediate locked mode to an open mode.

Vehicular Door-Opening-and-Closing Device
An embodiment vehicular door-opening-and-closing device includes a latch, a striker configured to be lockably fitted into the latch, and a magnet configured to maintain the striker in a state of being fitted into the latch. In an embodiment, the magnet has a magnetic force exceeding a repulsive force of a weather strip generated by compression of the weather strip, and the magnetic force exceeds the repulsive force in an initial operation of opening a vehicle door.

Door sealing and timing mechanism for use in coach door configuration for a vehicle
A vehicle includes a body having an uninterrupted side aperture that provides access to an interior passenger cabin. A front door is hingedly attached at a forward edge of the uninterrupted side aperture. The front door is selectively operable between front open and front closed positions. A rear door is hingedly attached at a rearward edge of the uninterrupted side aperture. The rear door is selectively operable between rear open and rear closed positions. A latching assembly is at least partially positioned within the body and configured to receive the front door in the front closed position and the rear door in the rear closed position. A sealing assembly is defined between a forward seal of the rear door and a rearward seal of the front door. The forward and rearward seals engage one another in a fully-closed position.
Motor vehicle door lock, more particularly hood lock
A motor vehicle door lock, more particularly a hood lock. The basic structure of the hood lock is composed of a raising mechanism, for a locking bolt or another stop part, on a hood. An actuating spring acting on the raising mechanism is also provided, in addition to a sensor for sensing the position of the hood. According to the invention, an additional spring is provided which raises the hood if the actuating spring breaks down and/or malfunctions.

Opening control with a linear actuator for a motor vehicle
An opening control has a case and a handle mounted so as to tilt about an axis relative to the case between at least one rest position and an ejected position, a lever for pivoting the handle in ejection and/or retraction and electrical actuation element of the pivot lever. The lever is configured to pivot about an axis common to the handle and has a member for elastically returning into a return position in which it is adapted to retain the handle in its rest position. The actuation element is configured to make the lever pivot against the return force of the return member so as to drive in its rotational movement the handle from its rest position to its ejected position.
